Another Glasses Post!! - YouLookFab Forum

Hi Ladies,

I don't know about you but I anguish when choosing new glasses!!

I have decided that what I would really like are snow leopard frames. I have tried some on and I loved how the pattern looked on me:)

The ones I'm considering now are these:)

I have been led to believe that the more rounded shape works on most faces? Does anyone (Angie) know if that is true? They are
not huge, only 46mm lenses width (I have a very small face (kids glasses fit perfectly lol). I also have a high brow which the rounded shape will follow.

My others are cats eye which I love but I'm finding I need to wear my glasses all the time now when I'm working so I am craving some variety:).

So hard when you cannot see them on but I order my glasses on line.

Any thoughts or opinions?? Really appreciate you taking a look.

Sorry, I don't know about the shape but I like these a lot! I can see the colour working well with your hair.

Thanks so much Brooklyn:) There are so many frames available and it's hard finding something that looks 'right'. I don't need to have the latest 'cool' shape but I don't want them to reflect my style as much as possible. I also thought the rounded shape was a 'softer' look.

I hear you! Choosing frames is really a tough one! I do think that kind of pattern and colours will go very well with your skin, hair and style. Sorry I'm not much help here when it comes to shape etc. Let's hear what others have to say. Hope Angie chimes in.

I like the frames but can't give good advice on the shape. I have changed mine, and went with a black specked frame which I am enjoying. I too am wearing mine more and more.....

I don't know much about shape either but I love those glasses Deborah. I only wear readers, but I have a pair that are a similar shape and find them quite flattering.

I had lens replacement surgery a couple of years back because I had baby cataracts. I probably should have chosen multifocal lenses but I had heard about possible side effects and went for distance only. It has been definitely worth it.

Round is absolutely horrible on me. I say go to a store and try some in, narrow down shapes that work, then go online to find your preferred shape in your preferred colour.

I know many have a lot if luck ordering online, but I can't imagine it. On my face, the difference of a mm here or there is huge.

Snow leopard would be great for you!

Much more interesting than plain frames! You have such a good eye for colour and shape, if you like the look of the patterned frames already you will be on to a winner.

Impossible to tell without seeing them on. I can't even imagine choosing frames without try on. But you have impeccable taste so style-wise I know there is no problem! It's all in the fit, proportion, and specifics.

Well, I love the color and pattern. Of course, fit will be key. I hope they work.

I agree with Suz - they look good colour wise, but I can't fathom buying glasses without trying them on and having them fitted! Shape is such a unique thing to each face - I'm not good at figuring that part out either. I just know what I like when I see it on I love glasses too.....

I did a huge amount of research last year when I ordered my cats eye glasses on line. One of the reasons I order on line is that I have trouble getting small enough glasses at our local stores:(. The company I use accepts returns, gives a full refund and you have 365 days to return. A local store will help with fit if necessary but my last pair were perfect on arrival. And I do go and try on first but usually they are a bigger version of what I order:). Fingers crossed xxxx
