Ann Taylor wrap top

I received my AT order with the wrap top suggested by Tanya. Here's a photo; sorry for the poor quality, but I couldn't figure out how to turn my flash off. http://i285.photobucket.com/al.....oo/001.jpg I love the color and the style, but I'm not sure it works for my small bust. It seems to me that I don't fill it out in front enough, and the fabric just sags there. Maybe this is a style that just doesn't work for me?

Hmm, I can't tell for sure because your arms are up holding the camera. Is there any chance you could take another photo - either holding the camera with just one hand or have someone else take it?

I love the color and fit on you. I sometimes have a bit of gap issue too, and I find that what helps ( if it fits great everywhere else) is a shelf-bra cami and/or a padded bra.

I think it looks very nice Becky. Maybe you could try a simple straight cami underneath? ( I mean the neckline).

Also, sometimes when I have this issue it turns out that a size smaller not only solves it, but fits better overall. Many times I have exchanged tops from AT/ATL
originally bought in XS for XXS. They just cut their stuff pretty big.

For some reason I'm feeling that the tie around your waist is cutting you off. Maybe a wrap top that has some other styling to it would be better. This looks more like a top with a ribbon tied around it to me. But I'm not the best judge of style. Like I always say, I'm still learning.

Yes, Tanya, I wished for a straight or scoopneck white cami, and all I had was the v-neck one. The top is an XSP, and as Angie said, I wouldn't be able to go smaller because of my shoulders.

Angie, I was just uncertain about the way the fabric seemed to bunch a bit in the front rather than lying flat, as it would if I wore a C cup...but I think I may not be used to the look of a wrap top yet, which has some natural ruching sometimes. Other than that, I love it!

Hmmm. San, I see what you mean. I actually liked that part of it. It seems like there is a variety of styles of wrap tops out there.

Well I like it a lot. It gives your waist definition.

Anyone else see the irony in Becky not like the way her top fits her bust, and me not liking the way my dress fits my bust?

My best friend is a true pear...and every time we go shopping we joke around that it's too bad she can't give me a little of her booty and I can't give her a little (or a lot... as much as she'd like really) of my boobs!

Is the belt built in to the top? If it's not, you could try tying it up a little higher, or using a wider belt instead.

If it is really bothering you, you could get it altered - taken in at the sides, or a few darts in the back. That might make it fit better. However, I think it's just fine as is, and will work great as a layering piece with a jacket or cardigan over top.

One advantage to having a smaller chest is that you may be able to get away without the layering piece underneath!!
