And a K/R--Gap BF jeans, BR striped sweater & dress

This is the first time I've ever tried on a pair of BF jeans. I like the look, but is it "right"? Are they too fitted? They will definitely stretch out a bit after I wear them for a while.

Worn with a BR striped sweater that's also a K/R (love the buttons at the back) and the cognac Aldo booties I'm still on the fence about. Does this work as an outfit? Should I keep the sweater?

Finally, a striped BR dress, same as the black one Shiny has, with ruching at one side. K/R? Does it work styled with black tights and cognac boots (I'm thinking not)?

The sweater is great. The jeans look good as is but not really boyfriend-y - maybe size up?

I think the tights are too dark/heavy for the dress. How is it with bare legs? Or are you already past the season for bare legs?

LOVE the sweater. LOVE the jeans, too, and it is just a question of how loose you want them. Some like theirs snugger, like this, and others like them more loose. So maybe try another pair and compare. The taper looks super on you with those great booties.

I like the dress, too. I think you can wear it with slightly less opaque tights and these booties (or others). If you want to go this dark with the tights, you could bookend up top with a dark topper and/ or a scarf; that would balance things off nicely. It looks super comfy.

I love the sweater and the dress. I do see that the tights might be a wee bit heavy for the dress, but do you have a black cardigan or jacket to balance it? I like it alot.
I agree, you might want to size up in the jeans if you're wanting a baggier effect.

Love them all though I think the BFs could be one size looser! I have three pairs in different sizes though - or should I say, a skinny BF, a regular BF and a beefy BF?

Well, if the BF jeans work as is just as regular jeans, I'll keep them and let them morph into true BF jeans as I lose weight. How's that for a plan?

I have eleventy billion black cardis that I could wear with the dress to balance out the dark tights. I can probably do bare legs for another week or two but it's not super practical with the kiddos (too much bending over). The dress-tights-booties combo is soooo comfy. I didn't want to take it off.

LOL. Plans to make my DH run away screaming, probably (he hates stripes, BF jeans, and booties)! I think he'll like the dress, though, so it's a trade-off

I am no expert on BFs but they look good on you. I really like the sweater and the dress. The booties are a little light for the dress and tights to me, but they look really good with the BFs.

That striped sweater is fantastic on you and I love the back button detailing. The BFs look good too but like Suz has suggested, why don't you try and size up and see how you feel and compare the two. Love the dress!

I think I'll wear the BFs around the house tomorrow first and see what happens (tags still on, of course). Gap jeans always bag out on me.

I have the GAP 1969 "Sexy BoyFriend" in a size up from my normal size, and it looks great. It's worth trying one size up for the trendy look.

The sweater is very unique and looks so cute with your pixie.

I can't see the dress properly! I agree with Suz to try it with lighter colour tights. Or skinny jeans? I would add denim and red accessories to it.

Great idea, Krishnidoux--I have skinny jeans and red ballet flats. Will try those. I just checked the dress photo and you're right, the stripes are all skewed! Must be due to resizing.

I'll try on the BFs in a size up on Friday. Not sold 100% of it I really need them in my wardrobe right now. I have plenty of other jeans, just not in this style.

I love 'em all, too. I can see where you're going by having the BF's be not quite as boyfriend-y as they could so they fit for a longer time as you lose weight. I like your idea of wearing them around the house with the tags on to see if they loosen up enough so that you really like them. The sweater and the dress are super!

I like everything! With BF jeans, it's about the look you want to achieve, not necessarily what is "right." I will be interested in your report back when you try the other size.
