I've got it in my head from somewhere (no idea where so I could be way off on this theory) that you should be able to find three different ways to wear an item of clothing before purchasing that item.

I've been to BR and tried on this dress and really liked it, so now I'm wondering how else can I wear this other than as it's pictured on the model:

I can probably wear it as is for most of the fall (we're pretty mild temperature wise).

I was thinking a denim blazer might work over it as the weather gets cooler. The sleeve style wouldn't be right for a cardigan. What other ideas do you guys have?

Also, I can see this with boots, but I'm planning on purchasing something like these:

I think black would look better with this dress but the color of the boots above would work better in my wardrobe.
