Accessory Update - YouLookFab Forum

Hi Ladies,

As part of my style goals for 2016 I am considering updating and accessorising my outfits a little more.

Given my wardrobe is likely to remain full of black, white, grey and neutrals, accessories seem like a good way for me to incorporate a little colour and / or lightness to my outfits.

Now all the talk of pearls has me thinking I might like to add this piece in #1. I have a few modern pearl pieces (necklaces and earrings ) and inspired by YLF I even wore one of my necklaces today (a choker) and large pearl
stud earrings.

I like the tear shape and the fact that it's on a leather strap. I wear quite a lot of v neck lines and this would sit very nicely in them.

I wonder if it's a modern enough look or do you think it's too "classic" for me?

It does have a classic air, despite the leather, but I think your avant wardrobe will pull it out of that. I quite like it.

I think it looks fresh and edgy because of the leather and larger hardware holding the pearl in place and the clasp in front. I like it for your style.

I think the leather strap and large clasp give the necklace a modern, edgy look. Also, it is a single pearl in a tear shape which seems modern to me. I think it will go well with your style.

Really appreciate your opinions. Sometimes I can be a bit off in my judgement of mixing a touch of classic with my more preferred edgy style.

I may just have to put this on lay by as the budget has taken a bit of a hit recently but I think it might be worth it xxx

Oh, I like it a lot, and I would wear it, which to me says it's edgy enough. Nice way to toughen up the pearl.

It's classic but it has a bit of a modern/edgy feel to it because of the leather. I think it will definitely add a bit of a pop to your wardrobe from what you've made it sound like but it will still be simple enough not to take too much attention away from anything else! I love the teardrop look!

Since you have such a good base of neutral pieces in your wardrobe I agree the use of colour/sheen/lightness in accessories makes a lot of sense.
