Thistle's post about backsliding made me think about how we often feel that we're not getting anywhere when we're starting out on our style journey or even when we're far down the road already. Sure, the changes might not be visible from one month to the next and we're probably going to make some detours that will leave us scratching our head in hindsight, but we are getting somewhere. If maybe slowly.

When I started posting here on the forum in 2010 pictures were still visible to everyone, so I got into the habit of hiding pictures after a few days when there were no new responses. But I dug into the deep recesses of my harddrive and found these, all dating back to 2011. I chose them because they are fairly representative of what I wore back then. Added three recent looks that show where my style is at the moment. Quite the development, huh? Seeing this was definitely therapeutic. Because it's obvious that even though I'm often feeling I'm not getting anywhere, I sure do.

If you have your own pics you want to share, please feel free to add them further down. I would love to have company.
