I had to run to my local thrift store late this morning to pick up some heavier weights for DS. While there, this incredible fabric caught my eye.

This is a brand new with tags INC maxi skirt in the most luxurious feeling silk-jersey blend. It's bright cobalt blue with a pattern (paisley?) in white and black. It fits like it was made for me, right down to the length. But I hate maxis on me. However, I bought it anyway (new price tag was $79.50 and I paid 6.99) and am going to take it to Wonder Woman and see what she can do. Ideally I'd like to have it turned into a pencil style - she will need to take it apart where the skirt attaches to the wide waistband and shorten it from the top. When I folded the skirt up to become knee length you can actually perfectly marry the centre pattern so that it looks as it does in the longer version. This will keep the bottom pattern at the hem of the skirt intact. It will also need to be tapered/narrowed on the side seams to take the proper shape. She's basically remaking the skirt with this beautiful fabric. Even if she charges me $50 (it's unlined so shouldn't be to much more than that) it will be worth it.

I can see it with my white leather jacket, white denim jacket, both washes of my blue denim jackets, white tops, black tops, grey tops...you get the idea.

Am I crazy to buy a skirt simply for the fabric?
