I feel guilty asking for input since I have been markedly absent lately. First a friend came to stay with me for the weekend, then I had a busy Mother's Day, and I never have time at work anymore. It seems like life is never just going to settle down again!

But I hope you all won't mind doing a KoR for me anyway. Luckily summer is the slow season at work so hopefully things will go back to normal...

1) Crochet blouse. I loved this from the front and kind of hate it from the side. My plan is to try a size down and if that doesn't work, return. Am I right?

2) Denim shorts. I tried tucking, but again, love from the front and hate from the side I'm not sure if there is any way I can wear these that I will be happy with.

3) Pleated shorts. The pleats are kind of rumpled. They're going to be a pain to iron so I only want to keep them if they're fabulous.

4) In all of the pictures, I am wearing the Big Buddha flatforms from DSW. They're pretty comfy but I think I may exchange them for the yellow. If they're not cute, however, I will just return them.

I also got the cutest skirt which I was shocked to see is actually a WOVEN rayon instead of a knit. It's awful. It's pleated and would be a nightmare to iron I have two tops that are like this and thought I could deal with it but I hardly wear them. Shouldn't designers know better? Would it have cost any more to produce in a knit? Grr.

Do they have to be 10s for you to keep them?
If so, then I'm not loving any of them, except for the shoes, which score 11! super cute!

Love the shoes, I thought they were gentle platforms (which I like for ex, 2" platform to 3" wedge), rather than complete flatforms. Regardless of what the platform to wedge ratio is, they look cute on you.

I am really liking those shorts on you. I think they look great from the side, I'm not sure what you don't like about them. They look super flattering to me, they're a 10 in my book. The higher rise makes them ultra leg lengthening. The only reason I would return them is if they were uncomfortable.

The crochet top is cute but I wish the sleeves were shorter to reduce some of the top's volume. I'm on the fence with that one.

The pleated shorts (I thought it was a skirt) are a return IMO.

I love the denim shorts and flat forms. I want the crochet top to be more drapey so it doesn't stand away from your body so much. Did you ever try the JCrew shorts? I thought you were going to order those in red.

I like the denim shorts and the shoes (which would be much more fun in yellow!). The pleated shorts I'm unsure about though the color is great; if they rumpled less quickly I think I would like them more, but I'm not very good with shorts so hopefully you can get some better opinions on those Like Kelly I'd like the crochet top to be a touch more drapey, is it supposed to be a shorter boxier style?

Hmm they never show the crochet top fully from the side but it looks like it hangs the same way on the model. Is it roomy enough to size down? The shoulder and arms seem to fit you similar to the model. I would be concerned that sizing down would make it tight across the bust and kind of remove some if it's flowy-type vibe.

The pleated shorts give me a golf skort vibe >< I love the color on you, they look like they fit well. But I don't feel like I can give you a good opinion, so hopefully those who are more fashion forward will chime in. I would comment though that you may get observers who think it's a very short skirt and not shorts.

I really like the crochet top styled on the model. I think your picture makes it look more opaque--I'm guessing that it looks much more delicate IRL and probably has more drape and movement than your picture shows. It's really a sweet top--I think you should try sizing down.

Too bad about the shorts. I was wondering how you did with those.

Are you wearing a cami with the blouse? I really like it on you and feel it is definitely a wise idea to size down.

I like the denim shorts on you, but at the end of the day, you have to be happy with the fit.

Also, the pleated shorts are darling, but I personally would definitely send those out to the dry cleaners after every wear....perhaps the maintenance on those is just too a) spendy or b) time consuming (read: ironing!).

The flatforms make your legs look incredible. Definitely keep and wear all summer! Are they comfy?

Love the shoes *if* they are comfortable. They look very uncomfortable to me - but we have different foot needs. I know you'll be sensible.

Love the red shorts!

FWIW, denim shorts look best baggy to my eye. I vote return.

I love the flatforms and denim shorts a 10. I like the crochet blouse and would try a size down you are so tiny. I like the red shorts on you but if they are going to be allot of trouble I would pass. Is that the top Angie pick from Nordstorms in 3 & 4?

We know from your previous posts how you hate the kind of attention that you're going to get while wearing short- shorts at the age of 27. Are you prepared for the turning of mens heads?
I love that you've grown out your bob. Your curly long hair is beautiful and fits your face structure. I like how you have a retro-style 60's- 70's hippy dippy thing going on. You wear it well and since I'm from that era I can certainly appreciate it. Maybe you call it boho these days.

I think the blouse just needs a chance to relax (new garment stiffness) and it will be great. The denim shorts are not my favorite. If the rise was just an inch or 2 shorter they would be killer on you. I vote return. The red shorts are good. To be killer, they have to be ironed. If you're willing to do that, keep them. If not, return. I would hate for you to get these if they'll end up hanging in your closet because you don't want to iron them (we've more than one ironing conversation). The shoes, Love! And for what it's worth, I'm really picky when it comes to platform shoes. I can't wear them because I feel like Minnie Mouse in them. And I have a tendancy to go all Judgy McJudgerson when others wear them. I really hope you either keep these or get the yellow.

I think the blouse, platforms, and red shorts are all very cute. I might try the blouse one size down for comparison on the shoulders and sleeve length. For some reason I do not love the denim shorts. I think you could do better on those.

I like the blouse and platform sandals best. The blouse looks like it's supposed to be boxy and I don't mind that style. It doesn't look so big to be a tent, you look fine to me. I'm not a fan of the cuff on the shorts, and they look a tad baggy near the middle area. The red shorts, I like that there is not a cuff, but the pleats don't look like they are lying very flat. This brings a lot of attention to the thighs. I vote return to both bottoms.

Renee--yes the top is the Bobeau tank from Nordstrom. I wasn't sold on the striped one but when I saw the polkadot version I jumped.

I will be returning the denim shorts, the skirt I didn't post, and the crochet top. It's just too stiff and awkward. I realized that you can very clearly see my shape right through it which is just weird.

I'm thinking of trying this instead. Same vibe but appears to have a better drape. Can anyone advise about Lucky sizing? According to their chart I would be an XS.

I am keeping the red shorts. I ironed them out yesterday and it was easy enough and made a world of difference. I actually like the fact that they resemble a mini skirt without actually being one.

I'll keep the flatforms too.

I'm glad you are keeping the flatforms, and that the red shorts looks better ironed - though may I suggest that you sit for a while in those before snipping off the tags? Some of my stuff wrinkles up again the minute I try and sit down. :T
