A couple of cute dresses and a jacket what think you?

Too much idle time on my hands and oh so many wardrobe wholes to fill! I have been looking for a striped blazer for some time and ran across one I like at Talbots (see pic #1) which might fit the bill. Then I spied these two dresses and yes, I have a couple of black dresses but not with this neckline. Also this cute wrap dress in khaki (don't call it SSB!). What think you as far as the style and cut for me? I am still doing a virtual flyover at this point.

Ooh, I remember that linen dress! I really wanted it in the lime green color, but I wasn't quite sure how to wear it to work and whether or not it would be too low cut. It's SO CUTE, though.

I also like the other items - great small scale stripes on the first jacket.

Love these items - the black sheath is classic and I love the neckline for you - v-necks are my favourite neckline. I also really like the style of the linen wrap dress - khaki can be an "iffy" colour but you won't know until you try it on whether it comes across as true khaki or SSB!

And both jackets are FAB!

OK, I have obviously been away from here for waaaaayyyyy too long, because I can't work out SSB. Somehow Shamefully Beige? Something Serious Baby? HAYELP! (That was me trying to sound like a damsel in distress.)

I love all the items you've chosen and think their stylish and classic styling will be very flattering. I think you should err on the side of "I can always return" if they aren't quite right.

Love it all! I do think if the picture's doing it justice, that khaki is a dark enough colour to not be SSB on you --- will you try them out soon?

So now I can comment - Meredith, at least on my monitor, the khaki colour doesn't look appear soul sucking, rather soul enhancing.

I like the second, third and fourth items. (The two dresses and poplin safari jacket.) The first, the striped blazer, is a retail trend that quickly over-saturated itself so I would go for the poplin jacket instead.

Thanks ladies! I am glad they meet with approval. I will follow my usual plan of ordering on line since the selection is limited in our store and returning to their brick and morter store if items don't work out.

You may be right about the striped jacket having limited lifespan bur it is a good price and I would like to see what it looks like. I will definitely keep this in mind!

I don't think you can go wrong with any of these Meredith. The linen dress just looks like "you" and the shift dress is so classic. The utility jacket looks great, particularly in that coral color and while I agree with Denise, I think this striped jacket is more classic in its styling that some of the more trendy versions that are around and may well have more longevity in your wardrobe because of that?

ooooh, very nice choices Meredith! I might have to try that utility jacket in the green color. My favorite green jacket had to go because it got too big and it's not always easy to find that type of green.

I don't think those stripes are too trendy either. I would go for it!

The dresses have beautiful classic clean lines. I like all the items. The striped jacket's length seems like it would work best with pants from the photo, as it seems long rather than cropped.
