Rejected footwear 2016

Collection by Chris987

- Ivanka Trump suede tassel loafers Quite comfortable in spite of the really sharp pointy toe, but liked others better. Via Spiga Giada – they looked very chunky on. Shelley animal print oxford - just didn’t appeal to me. I think my take-away is that oxfords with a brogue or wingtip feel are too masculine for my style these days. - Kelsey Dagger Brooklyn – nice enough looking but didn’t feel very comfortable. - Jeffrey Campbell Tassel Loafer - very stiff leather that badly pinched across the ball of the foot area.. - Via Spiga tassel loafers in black. I came really close to keeping these. I really loved them, but after wearing around the house for a while I realized they had very little support and were not as comfortable as I had initially thought. - TopShop loafers - the soles are as thin as cardboard, deal breaker. Via Spiiga tassel loafers in grey suede - I rejected them as being too masculine and kind of boring. Later on I realized that the black ones I wanted to love were exactly the same shoe! Quite a lesson in how the fabric/color can make one pair of shoes read totally different from another even in the exact same style - Van Eli Alcina – the first at-home ones I tried. One size crowded my toes when wearing socks and the next size up had roomy toes but the heel was way too big. . - Naturalizer Natania2 – same as above. - . The two adrianna papell ones in gold and silver are too glitzy, even more so than in the pics. The Adrianna Papell black ones were SOO close but there is a seam on the inside that rubbed against my outer small toe and squeezed it in a way that would not go away. The brown booties are lovely but only come in full sizes, the 37 was too tight and the 38 was way too big even with socks and inserts.
