What a terrific story! I am definately in your camp. Trying to figure what to do and implement it accordingly. I have not left a lot of room for emotion in the decision process. It does make me pause!

There are several things that I love about this post.

1. I love that Angie attends meet-ups, through which, she extends her generosity in sharing of herself. I love that Angie is always so willing to advise, encourage and nurture each one of us, and help us to present our best selves. Much appreciated Angie!

2. I love your summary of Angie's approach! I've read books, attended workshops, spent time with stylists, and at times I've lost my way and tried to follow "the rules" instead of just following my own instincts. When I reflect back, I know that those slightly quirky items that I've purchased just because I've loved them, have always proven to be wardrobe favourites. I must remind myself not to overthink things too often!

3. I love that you've also been able to grow in your style journey as a result of your meet-up! How fabulous! And so what this forum is all about! I can't wait to see some of your "fun" purchases!

Loved this post and all of the replies! And I can hardly stand it that so many of you have had the chance to shop with Angie!!! (I had to make do with my husband this weekend, who was AMAZINGLY calm and patient, but you know, limited in his ability to help.) This post suggests that I can hold onto some of my own fashion tastes while also learning new things from YLF. It's comforting to know I might actually have some useful impulses of my own.
I read something yesterday that seems to fit with this whole idea of learning from the leaders (the industry and Angie, of course) but also following your heart:
“Fashion is what you’re offered four times a year by designers. And style is what you choose.”
