I just took a few more photos of some different combinations and added them to the original post (pictures 11-14). Since everyone seems to want to see #9 with the white jacket, there it is. I also put on dark tights since I think the black booties/bare legs were throwing some people off.

#11 is the outfit in #9 (tulip skirt, grey top) with the cropped black blazer from #10 (which has polka dot cuff linings that are fun w/ the polka dots in the skirt).

#12 is the much requested #9 + white blazer. You know, when I tried this yesterday, it seemed off somehow but today it's much better. Only thing I can figure is that the dark tights are necessary in this outfit.

#13 is the silver skirt/green top combo with the white blazer.

#14 is the same as #10 only with dark booties. I think this looks dressier than the original with the light boots.

What do you think? Are these better?

I think I agree with you in that the white jacket may be (unfortunately) a touch long for the outfit. I'm not sure how you feel about it though, maybe scrunch up those sleeves? I like the tights.

#14 does look dressier! Love it - although I love the skirt in #11 more!

My favorite is #6.

Lyn, I agree that the white jacket might be a touch too long, and I like 11 and 14 best as well. I am leaning slightly towards 14 right now just because it's a lot easier to sit in that skirt! (Although my mom would say that I should always "sit like a lady", in which case the other skirt would be fine!)

I really like all the outfits you added. I'm having problems picking a favorite.

I like #12 - without reading most of the other comments, just looking at the pics.(I think partly because it has white and it's a bridal shower but also I love the contrast on you with the darker top/skirt and white jacket).

thank you for your help, everyone! In the end, it turns out my jewelry decided the outfit for me. I was waffling between 11 and 14, but J's mom asked me to wear a particular necklace of hers (apparently she wore it at <it>her</it> engagement party) and I can't wear it with the frilled neckline of the grey top, so I'm going with #14 since it has a plain neckline.

Shower is this afternoon, will post final outfit photos later. Wish me luck. =P
