Very glamorous - I cannot pull off blue, so I shall live vicariously through you instead

Love the creative way of covering up the scar - glad to hear the surgery went well, & that it was benign. All our scars tell a story

That is such a stunning dress, I love it.

So glad your surgery was successful and the tumor benign. The thyroid is so important, and successfully managing issues with it are 100% possible but can be tricky. My biggest advice from long experience on thyroid replacement meds - be the boss of your doctors.

Beautiful dress and perfect with pearls. And keep wearing them forever! They look so good on you.

DH had a benign tumor removed from his thyroid when he was 36 and has done fine. Now he has a bonkers parathyroid gland, soon to be removed. All this apparently caused by experimental X ray treatments to reduce tonsillitis when he was 10. It was scary at first because back then they didn't know if it was cancerous until it was out. Reading up on these issues now, I can appreciate what a long way we have come as far as medical knowledge and treatments.

I'm pretty sure that in a few months no one will notice the scar--the doctor are so good at this surgery now.

I'm so glad the blue dress and pearls are a hit.

Thank you for all the advice re my thyroid issue and any advice on how to manage it, is gratefully received. At the moment I am fortunate that my half thyroid is doing the job and so currently don't have to go on thyroid medication. I have been told that situation needs to be monitored. I plan to maintain a healthy diet and exercise regime and hope that my body can stay on top of this issue without requiring daily medication.

You look so glamorous. Prefect for the occasion.

Glam and fab! Beautiful dress. I’m glad your cyst was benign and surgery successful!

Joy, thank you, it was fun to dress up.

Janet, you need a dress in this colour, wearing this made me think of you.

You look stunning. What a fab dress on you. You own that one-shoulder drama, and the pearls! Brilliant effect and function.

That blue is one of my favourite colours. Very glamorous style of dress too; it really suits you.

Sophisticated stunner! It’s very clever to use the pearls to cover a scar…..my dad had a similar surgery a few years ago and used a dapper bandana (no formal ties since he retired).
