Ignore the calf measurement of 14.5 inches because this boot fits my 13 inch calf perfectly when tightening the strap by one more hole. There is room to tighten the strap even further, so this boot will probably also fit a 12 inch calf. Extremely comfy, supportive, and tapered at the ankle. Fab Sleek Ruggedness.

This boot is super flattering on a slimmer leg, especially if you have slim ankles. I have had it for a couple of months now, and the look is fabulous. Love that I can adjust the calf to fit my bare legs, tights, or jeans. I have the taupe color, and it is really easy to pair with any color of bottoms, from charcoal gray to bare legs to saturated black without chopping off the leg line. One star off because, for the price, I could see them being even more comfortable than they are. They have a sturdy and well fitting curve in the arch that supports well but, after a full day of retail work, they start to feel sort of hard in the footbed. For such an expensive boot, I feel like I should not have to buy an insert.

Ditto what Rae said. The fit is marvelous for those with slim ankles and calves. It’s difficult to find rugged boots that don’t overwhelm, or look sloppy and oversized, and these are the rare exception. I had to tighten the buckle to the very first notch and with that adjustment, they fit like a dream. The buckle feature adds much-needed bulk to my calves! They are expensive, as Rae points out, but they are discounted a bit at Nordstrom right now. I have worn them with tights and sweater dresses, cream skinny jeans and a nubby cream turtleneck sweater, and denim skinny jeans with a chevron-striped tunic. They are sturdy in snow and ice and are so far quite weatherproof. I have found them comfy for my purposes at work in an office or running errands, but for those who are on their feet more, I would say that Rae is the true test!
