The fabric is amazing! It’s thick, stretchy and recovers well. Drapes perfectly over heels and is very comfortable. The wide waistband and flared leg are flattering. The front welted pockets are genius – no lumpy pocket linings. You can’t see the texture of the fabric in the photo but it’s gorgeous too. Runs true to size, available from 00 to 16 in petite, regular and tall.

I just found these on my front porch and am very excited! The fabric is wonderful, as Angie said — lightly textured, very stretchy, and a heavy enough weight to be smoothing and flattering. I’m thinking they’ll be perfect with my Cone Sweet booties and will hem accordingly.

Thank you for pointing out the beauty of the pockets, Angie. Those awful gaping side-entry pockets flatter no one, and it’s nice to have pants that don’t need the pockets sewn shut.

For a first try-on, I’m giving these the highest rating. I’ll try to remember to comment on whether they retain their shape after I’ve had them hemmed and worn them for a full day.

These did not work for me, as the rise is too short (even as a tall size), but I can report that the fabric is fab, the waistband and cut flattering. Also found them TTS. Banana Republic is doing great pants, if only the rise was a tad more generous I would be so happy. I suspect my height is the problem and that these would be ideal for most people. Worth trying these, for sure.

I just wore these for the first full day today, and I am in love. They are SOOO comfortable, the fabric is delicious, and they held their shape all day. I’m 5’1 and the rise and length in petite are perfect for me. Thanks, Angie, for another winner (I promptly put my too old, too short black dress pants into the Goodwill bag).

I’m chiming in again after wearing these several times to say that they have become my absolute favorite pants. I did hem them for heels and love the look.

I would say they run a tiny bit big, but don’t become bigger while you’re wearing them.

I just clicked through the YLF store link to see if they come in another color as well. Alas, they don’t, but I may get a second pair in black because I was so impatient while this pair was at the cleaner’s…

Oops — sorry to bombard the store with posts, but let me correct myself: I’m not sure the fabric is the exact same, but these do come in navy and a grey herringbone.

I’m 5’1″ and the petite version of these pants fit perfectly, fresh out of the box. They are the most comfortable work pants I own and I believe they look very polished and professional. Thank you Angie, for making this excellent suggestion.

Fabulous pants. The material is substantial and luxurious. The rise was perfect for me (at 5’6″). I loved the texture and the comfort. Sadly, for me they did not flatter my rear and my DH gave them the thumbs down because of that, which was a pity – that was the area I was uncertain about too.. Possibly in another size they might work better and if I can get to a store (I bought online) I will try them again.
