yes, from Paris on Eurostar train - I feel completely mad writing this but I'm so strangely excited to go and meet all of you !

The earliest train arrives at 8:30 a.m in St Pancras, so 9:00 would be doable...I'd feel more confident of making it if it were 9:30, if that's possible ? Given trains are not always dead on time, you know ?

I'm afraid I will be a dead weight as far as organization is concerned, I've not been to London since 1998.

Oh, Skylurker. Your secret is safe us. We won't tell a soul how excited you are. *smiling*.

I on the other hand, can't HIDE MY EXCITEMENT. WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO

Meeting at 9.30am is perfect.

As Inge suggested, I'm willing to share room or apartment too, but obviously we need to know who's coming and who wants to do similar. I don't mind room sharing as long as I have my own bed! Had a quick look, but there are so many to choose from and not all state whether or not the room has two beds, when you put in a search for 2 adults you seem to get double bedded rooms, well at least you do on Trivago. Something such as this is fairly obvious and right by Euston station :

http://www.thistle.com/en/hbs/....._list.html Inge, I know you mentioned apartments too. Any other ladies..suggestions at some point maybe?

So far possible room sharers are Inge, me, Shevia? Approprio?

Diane, try air B&B, but they might not let you stay for just one or two nights - the minimum might be 3 nights. Rio might have a few suggestions up her sleeve too.

We could meet at The Ritz or Fortnum & Mason for breakfast. Both are close to Dover Street. We should probably call ahead for a large party. There are many other options in the neighbourhood if these aren't available.

I'll most likely be staying with family, so can't really offer any suggestions for accommodation I'm afraid. I'd say AirBnB will be your best bet.

Those suggestions sound lovely for breakfast Rio. I will check out air b&b too. I might pm Inge and see what we can come up with.

Approprio, thank you for your great suggestions for what to do and where to have breakfast - and Inge, I like your suggested venue for tea and cake, too.

I'm looking forward so much to meeting everyone!

This is sounding better and better by the minute!! I am so thrilled we'll be meeting again so soon, Diane, and am tremendously looking forward to meeting all you ladies!!!

Skylurker - The Eurostar is usually bang on time, so I wouldn't worry too much about that:-)

Rio - Oh Fortnum & Mason and The Ritz both sound fun.

Meeting up at 9.00 or 9.30 am, it's all good for me.

Diane, yes, we need to get cracking on the accommodation arrangements. I will pm you tonight (have to run out in a few minutes). Is there anyone else who needs a bed for the night of 22 June, and would like to share with Diane and me? Shevia?
Perhaps you could let us know asap, as this is quite a busy time of years for tourists, and hotels and other accommodations are filling up quite quickly.

I am VERY excited!!

Wooohoooo. I have wanted to eat at Fortnum & Mason for a while, so this works out very well. Thanks for the great suggestion, Rio. Since you're in the UK, Diane, Ruth or UK Sue, could you please make a booking - say for 10 people on the 23rd of June at 9.30am? If they can't accommodate us - it's onto Plan B - The Ritz.

Maybes: Jaime

Confirmed: Angie, Greg, Diane, UKSue, Ruth M, Irene, Inge, Approprio, Skylurker (9)

Inge and Diane, let us know how your accommodation arrangements go.

Yes, by all means Angie. I don't mind sorting out the booking. !t may be best to wait till we've seen the weekend through, in case we get any more takers for the meet up and perhaps on Monday or Tuesday I can find out if F&M can accommodate us. I guess next step is to think about whether we need to book a lunch somewhere? Or, if too full from breakfast...afternoon tea?

Good plan, Diane!

I think it might indeed be best to book lunch somewhere (I have a feeling we'll need extra fuel after a morning of shopping, chatting, and walking:-) But afternoon tea sounds amazing too.

Am PM'ing you right now, Diane.

I am probably going to say this another thousand times or so, but I am SO excited!-)

This sounds like such fun! Have a great time and post lots of pictures, please!

Thanks, Diane. Appreciate your help.

If we have a full brekkie - no need for a big lunch. But if we have a small bite - we WILL need lunch. First, lets hear back from F & M.

Count me in! I will be staying with friends in Hendon so won't need a place to sleep, but please add me to the yes list for the 23rd! I can't believe it!

Whoot, whoot! So pleased.

WOOOHOOOOOOOOO. YAY, JAIME. I AM THRILLED. The gathering is getting more international by the day. We will be celebrating your birthday in style - and lots of love.

Confirmed: Angie, Greg, Diane, UKSue, Ruth M, Irene, Inge, Approprio, Skylurker, Jaime (10)

There we go. We are set. Diane is kindly looking into restaurant reservations, and Rio has planned our route. AMAZING.

That's brilliant, Jaime!!
And thank you Diane and Rio for all the fantastic suggestions and help.
(Diane, will reply to your email in a sec).

Counting down the days!

Ladies!

I have booked Richoux :

http://richouxpiccadilly.com/index.php at 9.30 for a yummy breakfast.

And Bond & Brook at Fenwicks on New Bond St :

http://www.rhubarb.net/Venues/Bond-Brook at 2pm for a delicious lunch.

Diane, these choices look absolutely wonderful - thank you so much for organising the bookings. I'm so excited already - what am I going to be like by the time we finally all meet up?

Ha Ruth! My thoughts exactly. I for one will be giddy with excitement:-)

Diane, thank you so much for taking such good care of us. Both places look wonderful, and Bond & Brook even has a "library of fashion books". Fun!

WOOOHOOOO. I echo Ruth and Inge, Diane. Thank you SOOOO much for making these arrangements. The restaurants look AMAZING.

*virtual hug*

You're very welcome. Thank goodness for the internet and google maps, and the phone! I think I checked through about 6 and those 2 came up trumps for us.

Got to plan outfits now!!

I am so dang jealous and that type of green doesn't look good on me! Do you think we can get Greg to come up with a new YOULOOKFAB feature that instantly transports us to be at global meet-ups with our friends? I will miss you.

Have fun, everyone, and post photos as you can, please. ^_^

Thank you very much Diane for the bookings, both places look great.

Whoa, how did I miss this thread? I'm not in London all the time but I can certainly make plans to be there and meet you guys! Do you think you could squeeze me in for one of the meals?

I have absolutely no idea where the fab shops are, but it would be nice to meet some of you in real life!

Of course, Mander. Lovely that you can join us.

Diane, we have an extra person for reservations. Think you can call to rearrange numbers at the restaurants?

Confirmed: Angie, Greg, Diane, UKSue, Ruth M, Irene, Inge, Approprio, Skylurker, Jaime, Mander (11)

Wow, you are going to have to scoop me up off the floor when I faint from the fabness of this day. Diane thanks for making the reservations - your choices look splendid!

That's great Mander. I'm certain both restaurants will be obliging for 1 extra

Shevia, glad you like the choices...oh, and I expect I'll be joining you on the floor!

Diane, I just wated to say thank you so much for all your organisation and sorry that I have not been much help as a bit swamped at the minute with stuff.
So looking forward to meeting you all!

Excellent! Thanks for all the organizing, Diane!

Woo, I get to go on a shopping trip with Angie and the Fabbers! *swoon*
