Thank you so much for bearing with the delay for this challenge! I really hope it hasn't set anyone back too far.
This was a great challenge, as it prompted me to revisit my summer pieces while incorporating a couple of new items. Tam asked me to come up with go-to looks for scorching hot days, which we have in abundance in Toronto (temperatures are frequently in the 30-38C or 95+F range, and the humidity is a killer). In keeping with this instruction, I'm wearing as few layers as possible in the three looks I've put together here:
1. Colourful dress, turquoise necklace meant to pick up one of the colours in the pattern, white sandals, red cross-body bag given to me as a birthday present (verdict on this piece, please):

2. Black and white dress, turquoise ylf-store necklace, red sandals, cream-ish bag:

3. This outfit consists entirely of pieces that I had altered last summer and then never wore, and I really hope they get approval now because I like the results more than I expected to. Green top that I had made sleeveless, white capris shortened to what I believe to be clam length, purple earrings, pewter thong wedge sandals, cream-ish bag:

Tam wanted to know what gaps I've identified in my summer wardrobe. First and foremost, I need to find the perfect denim jacket as well as a couple of cardigans. I'm waiting to see where my weight loss is at before purchasing these items. The same goes for the polkadot dress/top I'd like to acquire, the properly-fitting white jeans (my old pair grew too much even pre-weight-loss), and the military jacket I still need. A white dress would be great to have, but isn't a huge priority; I'm far more in need of attractive, polished looking woven tops (one of which will hopefully be lilac). I'm incredibly annoyed at myself for gifting a beautiful navy blue bag last year; it would have come out to play this season. I'd love to get a pair of flesh-toned heels, but will need help figuring out exactly what shade that would be on me. Shopping strategy will take shape as my weight loss progresses (knock on wood).
Off to challenge someone now; thanks for the great task, Tam!
