Love these outfits, Claire! Thanks for the stories, too.

FWIW, liquid Tide (and possibly other liquid laundry detergents) is the degreaser of choice amongst my cycling friends. Easy peasy cleaner for hands after messing with chains, and such, and for getting 'bike tats' off legs. Obviously not something for a special or fragile item, though.

Claire, you have never looked better to me, and I was going to say that before I read Angie's comment! Bring on the cream, I really love you in it.

OMG you look perfect, gorgeous, chic, and polished in every single one and i SEE your style. I remember when I first started dressing the way I wanted, and not the way everyone else did, that I got lots and lots of looks. I had to gt used to being seen, not invisible, not part of the crowd. Now I assume those looks are still happening since I do work in a huge building with many new faces every day,, but I have gotten used to and hardly notice anymore. I assume that my confidence has grown as I filled up my happiness collector with outfits I feel great in every day. The more I wear what I love and feel good in, the more I do not need/notice the attention of others. I think your style is awesom and your pieces are perfection!

OMG, these are beautiful! All of them. I'm especially loving the white-on-white.
Thank you for sharing how you got the grease stain out - must remember that.

I love your outfits, you look fantastic!

You look beautiful! Period. And that's why the attention!

I am sure your DD is proud of you! I can't pick a favorite outfit! They all just look stunning!

Wow, Claire, you are so stunning! Sophisticated and chic. I'm taking notes. Thanks for the great flour tip, too.

Great outfilts and I really, really appreciate your sharing your thoughts about how you decided to dress for these events. Thanks.

Oh my goodness, this was a treat to read and another treat to look at.

Bicycle grease has ways beyond human divination of attaching itself to clothing fibres. I will remember the flour trick, it's a beauty.

Speaking of beauty, Claire, you are a very beautiful woman and people do tend to stare at beauties. I would stare at you too if I saw you IRL.

Claire you are killing me with these gorgeous outfits!

I'm so glad you wore the popular casual party outfit in #1.

Luv the striped sleeves peeking out of Ms. Celine and how they complement the scarf in outfit #2. Flour as degreaser? You always have such fabulous offbeat tips!

I can't stop swooning for outfit #3!! The belt and shoes work ingeniously to marry the cream and white! Gah, I'm stealing that whole outfit!!

Well duh, of course you are getting stares because you are a confident and beautiful woman! They are in awe because you are not trying to regain your youth with your outward appearance. You are showing them that a woman can age gracefully when she is comfortable in her own skin and is true to her own nature.

You look so put together in an effortless yet elegant way. Yours is a look to aspire to. I loved your musings on how and why you wore what you did.

Absolutely and totally wonderful! You (and Deborah) must be reaching wardrobe perfection that you can 'throw' something on at the last minute and get capital K killer awards from Angie. Absolutely lovely...

Good heavens Claire, is it possible to look any better than this??? You are literally killing me softly with your wardrobe content, musings and choices.

Oh my, Claire! You could not look more gorgeous and beautifully put together. I'm sure that people look at you- in utter admiration!

Here's something you NEED to have on hand:

Trust me!

OMG, Claire! That cream on white (and another white) outfit is superdeliciouslyfabulous! It is a K2(K2K)!

I don't even know why I advised you to put under the sweater the denim shirt! I guess because you were unsure about and asked, but no I can see better from detailed pictie, it is sooo well working without anything in between but the belt. (BTW, you are so smart with the flour bad, happy it worked for you!)

And, I love all your outfits, of course. No wonder you are getting smiley looks from others, men or women, big or small:-). DD has to be proud of you!

Wow Claire - you are looking fantastic! I agree with everyone on how gorgeous you look in white/cream ensemble in particular.

And I must remember the flour trick - thanks!

Claire, this post made my day yesterday!
Your cream sweater, (and Angie's) sent me straight to a navy version in silk and wool- on sale and further reduced in my size, I swear.
You are one of our YLF 'fashion heroes' for sure.

Okay, everybody else has covered the undeniable and self-evident fact that these outfits are completely beyond stellar.

So can we just talk for a minute about your WRITING?? Good Lord, woman!! You have such a fun, fresh, funny, relatable, original voice! You need a blog or a news column or something! Your posts are always just so much fun!! Keep 'em coming, please!
