I am now a convert to the Halogen seamed pencil skirt. Yesterday I finally tried one on while I was in Nordstrom making a return, and true to form, I ended up buying more than the equivalent of the item I returned! I *may* have even bought this skirt in cobalt blue. That's how well it fit!

So today I decided I'd break my skirt moratorium (mostly imposed because all of my skirts were too big and not a style I favor much anymore). It's still a casual day, so booties, a comfy sweater and my RATE jacket finished the look. Simple and rather subdued in color, but I like keeping everything else simple when I wear this jacket. I liked the addition of a little tone-on-tone pattern in the tights so I wouldn't be a solid block of black from the waist down.

For a little touch of shine, I'm wearing my big silver block ring that you can't actually see in the pics, and dangly geometric silver earrings.

Jacket: Muubaa
Sweater: (it's convertible! V-neck with detachable big cowl that I drape over one shoulder when the jacket is off) Michael Kors
Skirt: Halogen
Tights: don't remember, Hue maybe?
Booties: Fluevog
