when to put away white jeans?

I found some white David Khan jeans in the exact style that I just bought...but i'm wondering if it's worth buying this late into the summer. How much longer do we have to wear white denim? Is it still fashionably correct to pack them up around Labor Day?

I think you can still wear them past Labor Day, as long as it is dry outside. I like them with black turtleneck and black boots in the fall. Where do you live/how soon does it get cold there?

Besides, there's always the next summer, and since these fit you so well, I'd snap them up because you never now if you'll find them again. If you find something that was made for you, i's day stock up

I agree with Tanya...I don't think the "no white after Labor Day" rule is a great rule to begin with--and I don't think people follow that anymore anyway. THe way I see it....denim is difficult to wear in the dead of summer...it's just too hot. So white jeans are more of a spring/fall option. I probably wouldn't wear them in November, here in New England--but I would wear them in November in a warmer climate--like North Carolina.

I agree with Tanya and Nicole. I can't remember where you live? I live in Austin though, and I am planning on wearing my white jeans well into October, since temps will stay in the 80s.

Tanya's right about jumping on stuff that is perfect for you--definitely take advantage of it!

I live in near Omaha, so we pretty much have mostly summer and winter with a bit of spring and fall thrown in. I was really wondering how much I'd wear them since it is so hot and humid in the summer, but if I can wear them into fall...then Fantastic!!! ::) I'll just run (click) right out and get them!

Taffy....my climate is much like yours... a whole lot of winter, more summer than spring and fall. I bought a pair of white jeans this year and while I have not worn them much the last few weeks due to heat and humidity--it was by far my favorite purchase of the year. I plan to take them to the beach with me next week as my only pair of jeans. (I pack light.)

Taffy, I live in Omaha and I wear my white jeans in the evenings only unless it is a mild day. Can I ask where you found these jeans in Omaha or did you find them in KC?

Shannon...DH and I escaped to the Kansas City Nordstrom last weekend....I got them there. I don't know that I could get there again for a while, but if you ever need a shopping partner in town, let me know. Have you tried Von Maur? They might carry them. Also, there's a little shop (don't remember the name) inside regency plaza, across from ATL, that carries 'Not your daughter's jeans' if you like those.

It seems like a bargaining tool. There was a click balloon for it when I went to the bidding window. You can send the seller your "best offer" and then they can accept or deny it. The jeans were listed at $79, and I sent an offer of $55. So basically I got the jeans for $65 counting shipping instead of $168 at the store. :))))

Taffy, I would love to meet and shop with you sometime. I am trying to hold off until Anthropologie opens in the fall. I need to think about my fall wish list. I have most certainly tried Von Maur. Enough that my DH has put a limit on my interest free card there. I love that place! They know me by name. My kids too! They don't carry David Khan's though. At least last time I looked. I have been inside that boutique you mentioned. I didn't look at the jeans though and I have not tried the "Not your daughters jeans". There are a lot of cute boutiques popping up around Omaha. I bet one has to carry David Khan's.

You'll have to post a pic of your jeans when they arrive. What style did you get?
