Most people I see when I am at the lake are in gear. Chacos, polar fleece, flip flops, sweat shirts, hoodies, cotton t-shirts, shorts and some clams.

Is this the appropriate time to wear gearish clothing?

Then at night if there is a cocktail party on the deck you break out your white denim pants, gladiator sandals, cardigan and sweet pea top?

Most days are spent on the dock or boating or just lounging. Mostly I am around family but sometimes (like the 4th of July) it can be very social.

I am confused because the location is so casual and sporty.
