What hose with red shoes?

Hi all, I got these cute red flats this week on an amazing sale

I want to wear them tomorrow with dark jeans & a black/grey/red blouse. However, it's supposed to be cold (close to -20 Celsius in the morning) and I don't dare wear them barefoot.

What hose could I wear with them, or should I let my feet suffer & be cold in the name of fashion?

Super cute flats!

I hate to say this, but it might be too cold to wear flats in the weather you describe. Can you wear boots to your destination, and then change into the flats?

Otherwise, wearing boots would be the way to go, and the flats will have to wait until the weather warms up. (And I imagine that even with hose, the flats would still be way too cold!)

I wish I could wear flats! I think my legs are so used to heels that flats feel uncomfortable!!

Those flats are adorable!! If you don't have to walk far in the cold, and there isn't snow/ice/slush on the ground I would wear a thicker pair of knee high hose in black, grey or nude.

Those shoes are adorable! I agree that it might be to cold for them. If you are only going to be out for a really short time, how about some knee-high socks in black or nude with some structure to them ( like tone-on tone pattern)?

I work in an office all day, and I don't have to walk to far to our van, so it's not a huge problem, but my office usually has a little chill that trouser socks normally take care of just fine. I wear low vamp shoes almost every day. I just haven't had red shoes since high school, and I wasn't sure what to wear with them. I have black trouser socks (about as heavy as a pair of tights) that should do the trick. Thanks!

These shoes are adorable! Where are they from?
It sounds way too cold for flats, though. Even here in moderately cold Seattle I've only worn flats once this winter. If you do feel comfortable wearing them, I personally would go with nude (and my assumption is that your jeans are PPL, correct? :-))

I got the shoes in a grocery/department store here in Canada called 'The Great Canadian Superstore'. yeah, it's a little cheesy, but they have some great deals on stuff. Apparantly the guy who started Club Monaco designs the clothing department (which is rather small). The shoes are not leather, were regular $19, and I got them on clearance for $4.94. I figure even if I only wear them 5 times I'll get my money's worth, and I'm sure they'll last at least that long. I also got 2 leather wrap belts for $4.94 each as well. Gotta love clearance sales!

Oh, and my jeans are PPL for flats, so they should be just right.

Hmm, I was told before on this forum that you cannot wear socks or hose with ballet flats or other low vamp shoes (unless it's a skirt with tights or hose). That leads me to think these are spring/summer only shoes.

That being said, I love them; where did you get them?

Maybe I'm a big fashion no-no then! I wear black low vamp/ballet style flats with black trouser socks & black pants all the time. It gives a pretty clean line. That's why I'm a little nervous about these shoes.

Anyway, I got the shoes at Superstore, of all places. They're clearancing a bunch of their fall & winter stuff, and there are deals to be had.

I think your jeans will play into this. If they are skinnies, then you may not be able to wear the shoes. But if they are wide legged, you might be able to get away with wearing nude trouser socks. But I'd probably wear boots to my destination, then change into the shoes.

Ha! I was going to ask if they were Joe Fresh Style. I recognized the style of the size number! I have a couple pairs of their shoes--thrifted. I think the stuff from that line is mostly pretty decent quality, actually.

I used to do the same thing with my low vamp shoes until I started reading here! We'll see what Angie says.

Sweet flats! These are Summer shoes though. No hose and no socks. Just your little pretty feet and warmer weather.
