What do you think of these shoes?

Hi everyone,

I am new to the site and I think I am going through
the honeymoon phase. I am self employed
I should be working and here I am all giddy asking
questions about fashion.A girl has got to do what a
girl has got to do,right!
I am 52, classic in look and I wonder if these are too
young for me? I wore all black last time I had them on.

Ofcourse they're not to young for you. They're nice and look like good quality. I think they're cute.

My opinion - No! Not too young!

I think the embellishment is subtle enough to just add a little "oomph" without at all going into "Forever 21" territory. (This is coming from a 51 year old!)

Heck no, you aren't too old! I am 52 also, and I think they will look great on someone our age. I know what you mean about the "honeymoon" phase. I can't believe how much time I have spent on this site since I discovered it. Oh well, I have learned a lot and it is so much fun!

I like them too. I don't think you need to wear them with an all black outfit though. Pair them with a pair of dark wash straight leg jeans, and a crisp white button down shirt and maybe a colorful sweater or vest or even a casual blazer. Let the shirt tails hang out. A fun chunky set of beads around your neck! Oooh la la.

I don't think they look too young. I do think the style looks a little dated. I'm often the odd woman out on stuff, but thought I'd add my two sense. Of course, I do love vintage. The key is making sure the vintage stuff is used in a modern way. I would love to see the shoes with an outfit and reassess my opinion.

I was hesitant that I was channeling the past again.
Alecia , honesty is one of the kindest gifts you can give to a person, I respect that.
Nicole, I love the outfit suggestion. I think it will let me enjoy the shoes again without thinking
about a past ensemble…
I am now putting them back on the shoe shelf.
