What are YOU wearing to beat the heat?

I think someone mentioned yesterday starting a thread where we could post what we are wearing to stay cool so I thought I would start us off!

The summers are pretty hot where I live so I am all about skirts and sleeveless dresses with sandals. When the temp is 90 degrees plus, I can't tolerate layers or anything around my neck. Usually I'm just wearing my gold hoops for jewelery and forgoing necklaces.

So, here's what I'm wearing:

For sightseeing in D.C. last week:
Linen skirt from Talbots, Tracy Firth for Target sleeveless top, Van Eli sandals and BCBG sunglasses

Thanks, Maya! What you can't see in that Brooklyn Bridge picture is the huge thunderstorm that was getting ready to roll over our heads! We kept looking over our shoulders and seeing lightening bolts over Manhattan. Luckily we beat the storm and ducked into Grimaldi's under the bridge for pizza while we waited it out!

Khris, you look so polished and put together and prepared for the heat. I love all your outfits. Thanks for sharing!

I am so happy that YLF has reintroduced me to wearing dresses for more than just fancy occasions.

Debora, I think your DC picture should be used as example of how tourists can stay cool and comfortable for sightseeing but still be 100% stylish. You look great!

Khris, you have such an awesome collection of warm-weather appropriate dresses. I love the neckline on the pretty blue one. I'd gladly send a little of our heat over to you if you are craving wearing them.

I have been wearing dresses that I'd normally pair with leggings (like this one) or clamdiggers with lightweight tops (like this) and rotating between pairs of sandals.

Kari, your dress is beautiful and is perfect for this hot summer weather. I love how you paired it with the yellow shoes and turquoise necklace. I really like your top in the second picture. Where did you get it?

Yes, I did feel cool and comfortable the whole day in D.C. and I did see a ton of tourists wearing shorts and capris with tees and sneakers. My fav sandals were great for walking and I think we must have walked about 5 or 6 miles total before the day was done.
