I just discovered this blog and forum. I've been struggling with expressing the style I want to express while also flattering my figure and I'm hoping these forums can help me figure this out.

Hi, I am a new poster but a long term lurker. I think I discovered YLF three years ago. I really benefited from Angie's expert opinion on fit and trend. Her post on eyeglass frame choice is the best I have read anywhere. I hope to stay here and get to know all of you more.

Hi, I've finally gotten up the courage to begin posting. I've been reading the site for about 6 months now with an increasing passion. I have been job hunting and realizing that I am older now and need perhaps to present a more thoughtful or planned appearance. I am 57 and looking for leadership positions in nonprofits. This site, Angie and all of you, embrace fashion regardless of age or size, so I love that. I've already learned so much from the site and now I've begun to explore the WIW section and realize I need to post to really use that feature. So, that's what brings me here today.

Hi. I thought I'd join. Fashion is an interest of mine but one that I only took up fairly recently. Looking forward to seeing others' ideas and choices and expanding my own horizons.

Hi all! I found this site a couple of weeks ago and have been reading through Angie's posts, the blog comments, and the forums religiously. I have been so incredibly inspired by the creativity and honesty of everyone here. Thanks for making fashion accessible to all!

Hi there. I joined a year ago and have been a faithful reader. At the start of the year I decided that 2014 is the year for change for me - time to clean out closets, define my style, put things together in a self-expressive way, and really enjoy fashion. (Then the cold set in!). I am looking forward to posting outfits and ideas and getting to know all of you!

Hello, I'm a 49 years-old woman from Brazil. I enjoy this blog very much, but just now I turned myself member. Sorry my english people. Correct me, it's ok. Thank you.

Is this forum pretty much only for womens fashion?

Hello all! I'm new to the forums after lurking daily for the last month. Excited to start posting!

Hi, everybody!

I've been reading this blog for a while and I really like it - the advice, Angie's own style, the tone, etc. I probably won't be much of a poster, but I'd like to see some discussions on the forum involving pictures. Since it's a Catch 22 situation and you can't see the pictures unless you post, but you can't post unless you see what people talk about, I may or may not be able to check them out... You just might have to put up with a couple more potentially irrelevant posts of mine, so I can achieve my tiny goal!;-)

Hi Angie,

Thank you for creating this beautiful forum. My name is Kat and I am fashion enthusiast. Please check my new website: http://www.sevenvirtuousvices.com

Hi, Angie. I've been reading for a while and have finally started posting. Thanks for putting all of this together.

Found YLF by accident and it was love at first sight. Have always been intimidated by fashion, but YLF makes it all seem so much easier. Looking forward to full membership to learn from others. Thx Angie!

Hi everyone! I'm also someone who has been reading the blog for a good few years now. I love summer and beautiful dresses but come winter I am sartorially challenged. I'm hoping to get my head around this during my current holidays.

Hi everyone, I have been reading this blog for a couple months now and love the website. It has been a bit of a revelation for me, and has been an integral part to me starting to get my mojo back post baby. Thank you!

Hello everyone! I have also been primarily a lurker, but lately have been struggling enough with my wardrobe (colors mostly) that I finally decided to post:) I am finally in a place where I have to purchase a new wardrobe (both exciting and scary) after some reproductive surgeries and weight fluctuations. I am turning 43 this year and would like to have a concise and timeless wardrobe that suits me. The Virgo in me would love to wear only neutrals like the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, but people in my circle are so pro-color where I am concerned. As you can see, I am VERY high contrast ( my hair has often been likened to Asian hair, and I am quite pale. My eyes are a warm brown however). I have always loved burgundy, but the majority of people seem to love me in all blues. I would like to have just a couple of neutrals, and one or two color families built around them. I REALLY want everything to go together effortlessly. ANY help would be greatly appreciated as I am SOOO lost:( I can post other photos if that helps. This forum is such a God send!!

Welcome Susan!

I''d suggest you use the "start a conversation" button to start a thread about wardrobe building. I'm afraid very few people will see your post here, and you likely won't get a lot of tips or help. But if you post on the general forum, you'll get lots of input. (If you have one or two more specific questions you'd like help with, that's a great way to start.)

Thank you so much for your helpful advice Liz.....I will do that! Nice to meet you:)

Hi everyone!

Hi all I too have read Angie's comments for about 6months and decided I should start and be part of the forum I am looking forward to increasing my knowledge of how fashion and dressing well works

Hi All,
Found this website through Jean's blog: Extra Petite. I've read through quite a few of the YLF blog posts and now looking forward to getting into the forum and seeing everyone's outfit pics!

Hi All!

I also stumbled on this forum and site by accident. I have recently lost some weight and regained by interest in fashion. I am trying to build a wardrobe on a limited budget and am looking forward to getting tips from everybody here!

hi! i just came across this by accident and have been reading about this for a while.

I keep ending up on the forum after Google searches; so I thought I should sign up. Lots of great wardrobe advice here.

I agree with Zezura - only makes sense to join this community after seeing it in the searches for so long!

Hi all
I so appreciate the advice and inspiration that you offer on your site, Angie. It's given me a whole new way to look at clothes and fashion. I look forward to participating in the forum although I can see I will have to buy a tripod or get my husband to take photos for me (or my four year-old!).
