I like both jackets but REALLY like the red one. Love it with the zebra scarf. Also your legs look a mile long in those jeans.

@Aida,
Thanks! I tried a deeper lip color since the scarf
seemed to need it!
@Dianthus,
I agree that the red just seems to be superb but the butterscotch is nice and
a little more of a work jacket!
@Suz,
"Mr. Meredith" LOL! I haven't shown him the two jackets
yet but he KNOWS we are stepping out before this week is out!
You are right about the tops. These will definitely do for now as I am sadly lacking
and was able to get these for a very reasonable amount and they do fit and seem reasonably flattering to my figure. I am mostly disappointed that I have not found a printed pattern top yet that I like.

WOOHOO! That red jacket is aMAzing on you. LOVE it with the zebra scarf. And the others are cute, too.

@Shevia,
Thank you! I played around with several colors of scarves but I do think the gray zebra brings a little something extra to the outfit! Thanks for liking the jeans on me also!
@Sarah,
Woohoo indeed! I do love this red jacket. I have very few pieces of clothing that I just feel smashing in but I do love this one....and my poppy red raincoat too!

Wow, Meredith, leather jackets were made with you in mind. The red is my favortie. Of the scarves, the green one is the standout for me, but all are lovely. I have a poison eye for short sleeves but these tops really fit you well. You can pull them off in style. I'm sorry that the leopard blouse didn't work out, but you have a great haul to play with.

Your haul looks great! The jacket are fab, and while I generally am not a fan of pouffy sleeves, these seem to be not-too-pouffy, and the fit of the blouses looks very nice.

@Joy,
Thanks so much! I love the green too! I know what you mean about puff sleeves but I do think these work pretty well and the fit is good so if all else fails and the sleeves bug me I can layer them under a jacket or sweater. The faux leather jacket s are so much fun!!

@Makrame,
Thanks for the thumbs up!

Meredith, you sharpened up your hair! Love! Do go get 'taken out'!

I can't decide which jacket I like better, so I'm simply going to say I adore the black and white scarf with the red and the green with the butterscotch, and bet the blue&black will look fabulous with your grey!

Love that you got scarfs in three very different trends --- black & white print (floral? B&W), tie-dye (tribal and blue+black), and solid emerald (bright, 'it' colour)!

I hear you about the difficulty of finding print blouses. I'm right there with you. A print is so easy for self-accessorizing or doing away with accessories entirely, but it has to be just so, doesn't it?

ETA: Commented on the puff sleeves in your other thread. I have too say these aren't all that voluminous even as-is, and balance your shoulders and hips very nicely!

I like the whole lot with the exception of the puffy sleeved blouse. I haven't read the comments, so don't know where you or others stand on it, but my opinion is that it's a little frilly for your strong classic style. Even though you look great in it.

What a fantastic haul - I love both the jackets, all the scarves and the blouses - I love how they look on you (I have broad shoulders, so they look awful on me). The red jacket in particular is fabulous.

@ManidipaM,
I am so glad you approve of the hair and the jackets and scarves.
The BW one is actually a check gingham pattern. I have several black and white scarves but I wanted something with a checked look. The emerald one was just so lovely and actually has slight lizardy pattern. The blue is a tribal print all right.
I love all three scarves so much! The blouses I was torn about. They fit well but the puffs take a little getting used to. I think they will look fine underneath sweaters and jackets etc and it occurs to me that I and put the white one over a dress (I have a black INC sheath) to make it into a sort of skirt and top look. I also have a black polkadot swingy A-line midi that I wore to the Puccini Martini Blast and I could put the black blouse over that for a slightly retro feel.
Anyway, that is what I am going to try. If the poofs start to bother me I can alway get them taken down a notch via a tailor.

@CocoLion
You are very wise! In order to make those blouses work I will have to wear them differently since I agree that I am going towards a strong and hopefull modern classic look. I'm glad you think they look good but you are right about needing to make sure they work stylewise for me. In my comments to ManidipaM (see above) you can see what I intend to try to do. I still want to find a few blouses (print, and at least one more of black and one of white) that are more in my line.

Oops, my bad! I was so taken with the close-up in #6, I somehow slotted that as the new scarf! Green lizardly now makes me think of lovely garden geckoes! What fun! Maybe with your polka dot skirt for a subtle pattern mix?

I love it all too. You should wear red more. It looks fantastic on you.

I love it all! Are you keeping the lot?

I like all the jackets and blouses. I'm not sure about the scarves - I would like to see these prints in blouse form. That would be pretty! I like seeing you in colors~!

@Angie,
Yes I am keeping all of it. I'm so glad you like the pieces!

I do have a question. I am desperately looking for some patterned soft blouses. I have none so if you could do a posting on types that would work well for my body type (hourglass/pear) and style (hopefully modern classic) I would be so grateful!

@ManidipaM,
Thanks! I'll look at the polka dot dress and see.

@Amy,
I only have about three things in red in my closet and I do love the color so I guess I need more now!

@Modgirl,
If I could find these gorgeous scarves in blouse form I would love it! I seem to do well picking out scarves but blouses I have more trouble with.

Hehe. I am the opposite of Una, I love a puffy sleeve (albeit an unhealthy love). I also really kinda love Express... like I walk the dog by the store window on a weekly basis.

The red jacket is indeed totally awesome.

And back to the puffy sleeves - I really like the tops on you. I feel they're different and unexpected, a bit of sweetener that perks things up.

Rachylou!
Thanks so much! I chuckled when you mentioned an "unhealthy love"! Interesting abou the blouses adding a little sweetness. I know that is usually somewhat lacking in my outfits. I guess I'm afraid that sweet will either come off juvenile or little old lady. Not sure which would be worse!
