Unusual style inspiration

While I was selecting some kiddies birthday cards as we have a few parties in the next month, I spotted this card in the "for her" section.

I loved it so much that I had to buy it. I think it would be great fun to recreate this look. In the meantime, I am contemplating to replace the small framed print I currently have in the kitchen and which I really love, for this one - because it's totally fun, fab and... let me think... what I look like in some parallel universe

I love it too !!!! I am a rather conservative and boring. This site has really helped me open to the idea of "inspiration". I think I am a bit too logical and practical which is no place for flowing creativity !

I also bought a card once, framed it and still have it in my bathroom. It is a teeny kitten looking in a mirror and the reflection is a lion. The caption reads, " It is all in how you see yourself. " It didn't make me look any better, but I LOVE the sentiment.

My niece once sent me a card with this quote (see attached picture) but the picture showed a very eccentric dressed small dog and his eccentric elderly owner. I like this picture too with the quote. If I find my card again, I'll scan and post.

I always used to get style inspiration from films. Maybe because you find a person whose style you like and they wear a series of clothes through out the film. I remember doing this as a teenager. I have started doing it again. For me style is about the whole person, their lifestyle, their dress...everything.

cute pic! Will you go so far as to sport the dalmation ? You could change the colour of her lead to co-ordinate :).

Audi, at Fashion for Nerds, posted a cool outfit that was inspired by the front cover of an architectural magazine. Inspiration can come from everywhere! And it's nice to surround yourself with things that make you smile.

Well, I did it
My "celtic forrest no.5" painted kitchen wall is now decorated with the print that does not match it by a single hint of color, framed by the non-matching frame... but, hey, it does make me smile.
It will probably be seen on my future WIW's, as that's where I take my photos.

I am pretty sure I'll draw plenty of inspiration from it, but other things too.

I thinks I'll stop just short of the cute dalmatian
