Two denim pencil skirts... keep or return?

I bought these skirts before I went on a *serious* shopping ban, and I need to decide if I should keep or return them. I've already worn one of these pencil skirts so I'm keeping one for sure, but the question is: Keep both, or return the unworn one?

Lane Bryant zipper pencil skirt: Really fun with a big zipper down the size and zippers on the rear pockets. I like the rinse on this one. My issue: Is it too tapered for me? This one can still be returned.

Torrid denim pencil skirt: This one is really simple and I think the quality is a lot worse than the LB one. But I've worn this one already... not sure if that was a mistake. This one is less tapered than the other one.

I like both of them on you a lot. If you can afford to keep the LB one too, than I would definitely do so.

I would actually say return. They are really similar. If you have already paid for the first one, return the skirt, put the money aside and use it to buy something special when you are really bored with your shopping ban and need a small break!

This stuff happens to me all the time, but I say return the one you can. They do look very similar and you probably don't need two alike. Save the $$ for the next thing you are sure to find!

Marianna, I'm torn. I like the first one better and the zipper is very fun, so I think keep it...but then I think, how many denim pencil skirts do you need? Plus your size may be changing because of your weight loss. Actually, the fact that you're working on weight loss makes me lean toward returning the LB one.

Medusa, that is exactly what I was thinking. I like the first one better... but do I need it? Sigh...

I want to keep it but it's probably not practical, right?

Is it just the zipper that makes you like it better, or is it also the shape? I think the more tapered shape is incredibly flattering on you, but they are similar. Is getting the Torrid skirt altered to be more tapered a possibility? (Would it cost less to do that than just to keep the LB skirt?)

Without the benefit of looking at them, I also vote return the LB one. You're going to need all the fashion dollars you can muster when the inches start to fall away, and the money you spend on this will be better used elsewhere!

I second (or third or fourth?) the vote to return the LB skirt if you cannot return the Torrid skirt. I find the fit of skirts to be finicky even with a few lbs/inches off.

ooooh! I LOVE the LB skirt. I vote keep that one and try and return the Torrid.

I adore the LB skirt; so flattering on you! However, the skirts are fairly similar, so you may want to return it, especially if you're planning on losing weight. The Torrid skirt is still cute, but doesn't showcase your curves as well as the LB skirt. I'm not helping, am I? haha

I agree with general consensus. Keep one. If you can return torrid, do it, but if you can't, return LB.

I love the LB skirt the best because it's fun and funky.

I actually like the tapered look of the LB one over the blunter-cut of the Torrid. Can you return the Torrid one still?
