Tulip skirts - like or not?

Any opinions on tulip skirts? I'm seeing more of this style again for Fall.

Really a modified pencil skirt more than a floaty tulip.

Thoughts on which body type could best wear this and which should avoid?

Adorable but hard to wear. Inverted triangles, rectangles and preferably lasses with longer waists.

I know this one doesn't work on me - accentuates all the wrong spots - so if you look at photos of me, you'll know the body type to avoid with these skirts.

I quite like tulip skirts, and own two dresses with tulip style cut skirts. It is a hard cut to pull off but it suits me because I am a thin hourglass with an average length waist. It does emphasise the hip area but I love emphasising my curves.

However it's a cut that would look good on a rectangle. Give it a try and see how it looks, you might never know!

I love the way these look in those pictures and I am try one in the store but I won't be disappointed when it doesn't look good. I've got curves and those will likely play them up. But, like Angie says, nothing ventured nothing gained. So we'll just see.
