Three new items! Yay or nay? - YouLookFab Forum

I haven't posted pictures in a while because my camera is slowly dying. I need to replace it ASAP.

I love holiday gift cards (and Maxxinista gift cards!) so I was able to purchase the following:

1) Nick and Mo ruffle jacket that I had asked about:

(Then the flash stopped working after this picture so I had to go inside!)

2) Also, possibly the best fitting boots? These are the Sofft Bergamo. I picked them up during the Nordstrom sale and love them. I wanted black but the company is completely sold out of them in my size so I settled for grey. I really like the grey too!

3) I used the remaining balance of my Maxxinista winnings to buy this B. Makowsky cross-body bag. I fell in love with the sherbert color. Ironically, I walked into Nordstrom after buying it and they currently are selling it too ($138 versus $80 at Marshalls). I have some doubts though -- I'm not sure if it's too small for my frame, and too short? I can put another hole in the strap to make it longer. Thoughts?

I love the jacket and the boots! I do think that the bag isn't the greatest for you. My first thought before I read your comments was that it needed to be more "statementy" (ie- bigger)

I echo queenie. Boots and jacket are fab, but the proportions of the bag don't really work for me. The size isn't too bad, but the length is way too short IMO. I wear my crossbody around the hip.

The jacket is FABULOUS!
I love the bag the colour and design are fantastic. I'm not concerned about the size but for me it's a bit short, i prefer them to hang a little lower but this is just a personal thing x

Edit- so busy drooling over the bag and jacket i missed the boots. I love them too x

I like the bag too (sorry that some of you don't!) I *am* concerned that it is too short, though. It's comfortable, but I would feel better if it was a little longer. The strap has room for an extra hole which would give me an extra inch or so, so I think I will have a cobbler do that and then reevaluate.

I love the boots and the jacket. I think the color of the bag is making it stand out a bit too much in the picture. It probably doesn't in real life. I would like to see it paired with warmer colors, the proportion would not be an issue if it was a bit more similar to other colors(IMO)

I love how easily you pull off the jacket with it's statement neckline, I don't think I could pull it off quite like you, beautiful!!

I also wanted to chime in and say that I really like the bag too! I typically don't like crossbody bags much but I adore that one! I think it's the studs and the ruching that really do it for me. I esp. like some of the other colors on zappos, so thanks for providing that link!!

Wow! What a deal you got on that bag! I thought Marshall's and similar stores sold older season items and that's how they cut prices. That's great to know they sell current stuff! I think your idea to get an extra hole on the strap is a good one.
