These shoes--black or pewter?

I've been eyeing these Indigo by Clarks "Peony" flats for months now, and they're on sale! A girl I know happens to have them and wears the same size as me, so I can order safely. I was planning to get them in black but then I saw the Pewter Metallic option and I can't decide. What do you think? Here are the shoes (just use the pull-down menu to change the colour):

pewter metallic would be VERY versatile in my wardrobe. Love it.

Unless you really need black shoes, I'd get the pewter -- I think they would be versatile and add something extra to your outfits.

I prefer the pewter as well. When you tried them, did they seem true to size? I just might order some at that price!

Susan, I wear a 7.5 that's on the wide side, and these fit me perfectly, so I'd say true to size, erring on the side of wide.

Once more, pewter! I'm a sucker for grey tones and metallics. Black can get boring fast (I speak from experience!).

Big fan of these in pewter! They are a basic, classic style so in black they may be boring, but the pewter takes them to another level. And you can wear pewter with almost anything you can wear black with, as well.

I am DELIGHTED to find out there is Zappos for Canada! I never checked closely... I just assumed that like Banana Republic and so many other sites, they don't ship here. Thanks for opening my eyes!

I vote for pewter, too. I just got a pair of pewter Me Too flats and love the color, which I really didn't expect. It's a wonderful neutral, goes with everything, but is not as "harsh" as black and a lot more interesting.

I like those shoes. I agree that the pewter is the more interesting color of the two. But like everyone said, if you need black shoes....

Have you considered buying both? It's practically half off--it would be like getting two pairs for the price of one, almost. I know I'm a trouble maker.

Definetly pewter. You will have much more mileage out of them, believe it or not. Except for my black boots and black pumps and black converses, that's it, I'm never buying another pair of black shoes again. I don't wear them enough. But I *do* wear my bronze and other metallic flats constantly.

I too vote for the pewter.
And I love an Audrey Hepburn look of black and white.

But even as new "citizen" of YLF and have until now mostly
matched my shoes to my bags ,I can hear gasps here- hey, our mothers voices stay in our heads much longer than we would like,right? I think the pewter would be more likely to put a grin on your face throughout the day.
