Q&A about individual items, ensembles, and wardrobe

These Boots....

As most of you know, I'm looking for a practical, yet stylish boot that will keep my feet warm and dry. I will be wearing this boot mostly with jeans and casual type pants, for quick runs to the grocery store, shopping, running errands.

I've been searching high and low for something that isn't as sub-casual as an Ugg, but not as dressy as a polished leather dress boot. I want to be able to just slip them on and go. But my MAIN criteria is that they are WARM. I was trying to remain open minded about price--since I tend to be cheap--it just so happens that these are inexpensive, but they are the closest I've seen to what I'm looking for.

Very cute! I would wear these in a second, though I am not crazy about the light sole with the navy or black boot. I like the tan though.

Yeah, I agree about the light sole with the dark boot too. I was planning on the tan. The only thing I'm not sure about, is if they will be warm. There is no mention of lining and no photos of it either. If it's unlined, or just a nylon lining, then they wont be very warm.

I really like the boot Nicole, especially in tan.

My bead weather boots are extremely similar- black with black wedge soles, lined in fake fur, slightly higher shaft, and made by Maxine of Canada. Maybe you could also look into that brand? They are waterproof, and I'm not sure of the ones you found are.

Here are some similar ones to mine:

I think that these are mine:

Nicole, the ones you picked are cute, but I'm worried they won't be warm. The ones Tanya suggested are very cute too, and they will be warm for sure...

Because I don't have thin legs, I am worried about getting anything too tall. I have issues wih dress boots being able to zip up on my left leg. I'm afraid a lot of those boots Tanya linked are too tall. I'm really looking for convenient shoes--I want to be able to just slip my foot in and out of them. I dont want to have to sit down to put them on or take them off.

I also have these in mind:

Same brand, I think I prefer the green to the brown--it's a bit more interesting...and they are probably warmer. What do you think?

Both pairs are adorable. Go for it.

I'm with you Nicole, my favourites are the green boots from your last post (I'm biased though, green is one of my favourite colours).
They look super comfy and cosy too.

Let us know what you decide?

OK, I decided not to order boots because of my calf fit issues. So, I went to Macy's and bought these:

They are very comfy, very warm, and they fit under pants and over jeans--so I can hide the fur trim, or keep it casual looking.

Those look perfect--I want some too!

They look super Nicole! Did you get them in brown or in black?

I'm so glad you found boots. Here's to toasty toes!

Before I read all the way down and saw that you already bought some, I was curious about those OH DEER boots, and found this article, which actually recommends them!

Fab boots! Hope those cute little feet are warm and toasty :-)

Thanks! I got them in black. Black goes with more of my winter wardrobe than brown. I've already worn them several times and they are so comfortable and warm! I am thrilled with them.

Those are lovely boots Nicole. I am glad to hear that they are keeping you warm. It has certainly been freezing here this past week.
