Talbots order, part 1 - pants and tops

Last weekend most of my Talbots order came in, and I managed to take some photos before I got really sick. I would appreciate your help deciding what to keep; please be critical because I don't want to spend the money on items that aren't fab.

1. Plaid pants

I like these and the fit seems good; I think I could do a lot with them. I'm thinking keep.

2. Girly print top

I find this print totally adorable - purses, necklaces, makeup, and other girly things. The fit seems good. I'm also thinking keep this one.

3. Red tie-neck top

The fit on this top seemed off, it has all these folds over my bust. Seems like a no.

4. Dot-print blouse

I'm ambivalent about this one. The fit seems ok, but is the blouse fab?

5. Red tie-neck sweater

This top seems to fit well, I like the color, and I think I could do a lot with it. Keep?

Vote keep on the pants, girly print top, and the red tie-neck sweater. The fit of the tie-neck sweater looks more flattering than the tie-neck top. Lots of fun items!

The checked pants are super nice, looks like great quality. They fit you very nice. Everything else I agree with your instincts. You are making wise choices at Talbots and it looks like this line will work well in your lifestyle and stylelife. I will have to have a closer look at Talbots also. I love seeing the dress hems a bit longer.

Adorable neck tie printed blouse and pullover. I vote return the red neck tie blouse. The pullover will look get at with your new ruffle skirt! Nice loot Medusa :0)

How fun Medusa, what a great loot. I adore the pants and completely agree with your instincts on the tops. The blouse number 4 is cute, and would be a great layering piece, but if you are not dying ton put it on and run outside, then I vote return.

I think your instincts are spot on Medusa, I love the check trousers and the girly blouse. You have a knack of finding slightly wacky prints which are totally wearable! I also really like the red sweater. I vote return for the two other items, I'm not keen on the side view of the red blouse or the sleeves on the polka dot blouse.

The plaid pants look fabulous! I like the fit, the pattern and the colours. I want pants like that, too!

Personally I'm not crazy about the girly print top. I find the pattern too busy, but that's just my taste. The fit seems great.

The red tie-neck looks snug at the chest. Or there's something not quite right with the fit.

The dot-print blouse seems to fit well. There's nothing wrong with it, but I'm not excited about it. Maybe I would have liked it better if it had more feminine sleeves...

The red tie-neck sweater looks great, keep it!
