Yep, I'm on team wear. I just opened the box that came in the mail today and in it were my NEW oxfords. I love the color and shine (color and shine are my stock in trade). So I need help trying to figure out how to work this into an outfit for a fairly conservative law office tomorrow. Any ideas???

I just had to chime in and say I'm Team Wear too and sometimes plan outfits around shoes just so I can wear a new pair right away. I don't have any styling tips for these oxfords though. I still don't have a pair because I'm not quite sure how to style them. I'll be sure to watch this post and your WIW and try to pick up some tips.

Oooh! These are similar to Shannon's except hers don't have the shine. How has she worn hers so far, I wonder?

I'm thinking it might be fun to echo that shot of neon somewhere else in your outfit.

Deb -- I was just thinking along those lines. I have paired my neon sweater with a white button-down underneath and I was thinking black or gray slim trousers. Thank you for chiming in!

Annagybe -- ah, you know me so well! That's the sweater I have in mind with a black navy or charcoal bottom.

Suz -- I think you are on the right track. I have to look @ Shannon's posts because I have not seen her oxfords yet unless I'm misremembering.

I can also picture simple, graphic black and white for the outfit, letting the gray and neon be a subtle pop at the bottom.

Adelfa -- gray slim trousers won. I styled them last night and that's what looked best

Rae -- I think we're on the same wavelength. I want to do a slim black pant suit with a simple white button down and let the shoes be the pop. Unfortunately I could not get the proportions right and I think I need new white shirts.

Oo nice oxfords. I'm not sure what the etiquette is at a law office. I suppose it depends on what kind of law right? Aren't lawyers sort of serious at least according to corpette. Also, my friends works in a patent law and she tells me it's kind of sober even if they work with sloppy engineers. Let me know how this works out, I'm really interested in finding out if these are appropriate.

With lots of navy, black, and grey for sure along with white and creams. I also think orange or any type of citrus-y colors would play well, along with purple. Very cute oxfords.

Gorgeous! I love the neon sole and laces. I would do black tapered trousers and basically any top for work. They will look great on you!

Kalli -- I would not recommend these for most law offices, but I do think it can be pulled off if the person is a long-time employee and pairs these fun shoes with a structured, precisely cut outfit in the appropriate sober color palette.

If you have any pants that are slightly tapered toward the hem, that looks fab with the oxfords. But I agree, just get out there and wear them with black pants. I know it can be paired with extra neon, but I think sometimes less is more. A bit in a necklace or watchband or trim can be all you need. Or instead of echoing the neon, somehow echo the color blocking with more of that or with pattern, not the neon color. Gray and black, cream and gray, that sort of thing.
