LOL the never ending saga of my need for new specs!

So, here's the extra images I took over the weekend of the DKNY's and the Adrienne's.

It wasn't till I left the store that I realised I STILL don't have a good shot of the Adrienne's with my eyes open

Over the weekend I showed a couple of friends the pics, and they were in consenses as to their favourites, so I hope you guys are too!

Oh and one thing I've since found out is that the DKNY's can be ordered online from the US in a different size - each glass could be 2mm smaller - so not a huge difference, but still a slightly smaller size none the less.

I'm going with the dkny's. Love the pops of pink! The shape is perfect too.

I love the softer more rounded shape of the DKNY's and the pop of pink is fabalous x

DKNY- I think you need the more curved top edge of that one as opposed to the straight edge of the Adrienne's.

Theresa, both those pairs look so good on you that it's really just going to be personal preference at this point. Go with your gut.

I'll be the first to say that I prefer the Adrienne's on you- I just like the colour more. You don't seem like a "pink girl" to me, but I could be wrong!

I'm also not sure about the pink on the DKNYs, do they have them with a different accent color? I love the cut, and all of the other colors on you, but the light pink doesn't fit with the style I've seen from you, and I'm not sure it's right for your skin tone - I think you need a richer color.

oooh you girls are GOOD!

I adore the DKNY's, BUT, do have a hint of reservation over the pink.... I'm not really a "pink" girl - having 2 girls means I have come to terms with it a lot over the past 5 years though LOL

Now when I saw this, I was instantly drawn to the black/violet combo. But, I'm worried the black might be too strong.

*sigh* the pink is probably too pale for me, but the black may be too strong LOL

Theresa, what about the gray and pink? The pink color looks more saturated and brighter than the baby pink you have on, and the gray would be softer against your complexion.

I'm going with the Adrienne's and I haven't looked at any other comments so let me know how I did and whether there was consensus.

You don't strike me as a pastel pink gal and you look sensational in deep read, so that's why I'm voting for the Adriennes.

arrrgh now I'm more confused LOL

Most of you guys like the DKNY's, but the Adrienne's get a few votes too!

My 2 friends like the DKNY's, but they only saw the images on my camera - so tiny - and 1 of them loves pink, and the other said she didn't like really dark specs on me - but SHE has very dark specs and I know she is a bit of an insecure gal so I guess I'm a little wary of her opinion (although her specs look great on her).

I think I feel like the shape of the DKNY's open my eye up more than the Adrienne's though.

Maya good point about the grey/pink - I just wish I could see the actual colours in real life.

Theresa, if you're feeling the DKNYs and aren't bothered by the hint of pink, I say get them as-is. It's the deep reddy-brown (as well as the shape) that makes them work so well on you, and I don't think they'd be as "wow" in any other colour combo. Grey would be nice with your eyes, but the reds and browns are clearly the most impactful with your colouring. (Clear to me, at least.)

Well, I've slept on it LOL

I think I'm going to go with the DKNY's in the browny/pink combo...

I have decided that both pairs leave me with compromise - the hint of pink, or the shape of the Adriennes (I'm super conscious of having small eyes that go squinty when I smile and I feel like the Adrienne's just don't open the eyes up enough).

So of the two compromises, I can live with a hint of pink, but if I'm paranoid about my eyes looking squinty all the time I wont be as comfortable.

What do you reckon? Fair enough reasoning?

I'm actually really excited about getting new specs now!!

well, I am happy because those are the ones I voted for. Is the pink all that noticeable? I hadn't noticed it in the pics.

I'm really not as bothered by the pink as some others are. Sometimes it's fun to pick up new colors in ways that we normally wouldn't wear them. Maybe you won't sport a pastel pink dress or shoes, but little hits of it on the frames of your glasses can be fun and unexpected.

Other than that, I just like the shape of the DKNY's a bit more. There just seems to be a bottom-heavy quality about the Adriennes to me...like there is a lot of space underneath your eyes but not above.

Maya that was exactly how I was feeling about the shape of the Adrienne's myself - like there wasn't enough room above the eye.

The pink isn't hugely noticeable - I didn't notice it was pink when I first tried them on - it wasn't till I went back to get the extra shots.

And you know, since having my daughters, I am starting to slowly find a bit more of the girly girl in me, so the tiny hint of pink might be my tribute to girliness without going overboard LOL

Thanks for bearing with me as I've worked through this all - I really do appreciate all your opinions and your objectivity!

Now just to finish saving the $$ so I can order them
