Would anyone be interested in suggesting some fall/winter color combos?
The suggestions for spring/summer were so helpful to me. It seems that there are not as many choices for winter....

Also-does anyone have a suggestion for purchasing scarves-lightweight and reasonable prices???

I think purple is going to be a big fall color this year. The trick is finding the right shade so you don't look like Barney. I think great color combos for purple are....Green (my personal favorite), Teal/Turquois, Ice Blue, and of course Grey. I'd also consider Cream and Black if the purple is VERY deep and saturated.

Other obvious color combos for fall are Orange and Blue, Orange and Brown, and if you can find dirty shades of both, Orange and Yellow.

I like purple, fushia, or a med to deep lavendar with chocolate brown.
Whatever shade of red works best for you from persimmon to burgandy, pair it with browns, grey, ink, or olive. A classic look is red with black and white.
With black I like cream, cobalt blue, brown, or apple green.
I want to try gold (not metallic) with charcoal grey and maybe add an ink or cobalt or persimmon accessory.

Here are my suggestions, although I'm not sure of your coloring, so i don't know if they'd all work for you:

Fall
Reds, browns, yellows, oranges - warm colors definitely reign supreme. You could pair any of the warm colors with another in the family (i.e. mustard yellow with tomato red). These colors also work with ones on the opposite side of the color wheel (i.e. orange with blue or turquoise, yellow with deep purples). The colors should all be the same tone, so I wouldn't pair a mustard yellow with fluorescent pink. It would work better with a deeper saturated pink, if that makes sense.

I'd stay away from pastels. For metallics, gold is the obvious choice, being such a warm color, but don't rule out bronze or pewter. Silver can be a nice contrast to the deeper colors, too.

As always, black and white/cream are great with any of these colors.

Winter
You can still rock some of the richer colors, but cooler colors are great as well. So, think teal, icy blue, white, lavender, silver, and purple. These colors work well when paired together. These colors don't work as well with colors outside of their family, so I wouldn't necessarily veer to the other side of the color wheel for color mates. I could see yellow looking nice with these colors though, but only as a brief accessory.

Good neutrals for this color palette are navy, white/cream, black, or grey.

I don't know how familiar you are with JCrew, Jennell, but their color selection is always fantastic. I'm looking at the mustards and papayas paired with the grays and browns. Delicious!

Thank you Sarbear I will check their website. My skin looks better against the "cool" shades. Hopefully, they would show those colors too.

Cool shades are usually a little harder to come by in the fall. Greys and purples will be great for you. You can always try the warmer colors as bottoms but keep colors that work well for you around your face. I like to pair purple with orange or red in small doses as well.

Excellent suggestions have been made Jennell. I get the impression that J. Crew often has more 'warm' colours than 'cool' ones, but do take a look around on their website, they have some beautiful things!

It appears that cool colours like teal and purple are going to be big this Autumn/Winter. Grey goes beautifully with both. Teal also looks great with cooler browns and browns that have a bit of a grey sheen to them.
Cool red shades (all the berry reds e.g.) are great as an accent colour when you're wearing purple, grey and the browns mentioned above.

These are all such great suggestions. I am a huge fan of purple, teal and grey so I'm really looking forward to this season.

Inge, I think you are right about J Crew colors, they always seem to have so much more pretty warm color than cool colors.

Some of my favorite color combos for fall are navy&lavender with a touch of cream, and very dark ( bitter chocolate) brown with pink ( and a touch of cream). Fall is kind of though for me colorwise because the most appropriate colors are warm ones in which I look awful.
