Am I just confused, or is this all the FAB LOOT you got on your NAS shopping with Angie excursion?

I thought it all looked great on you, and you *scored*big time re: fit , color and styles...:) blah, boring, not flattering...uh .... *NO*

But again...am I just confused.

I had the same reaction as Taylor. Why in the world wouldn't you keep it?!

I think it's anything but bla and boring. Each item has lots of great features like the buttons on the skirt which looks like it hugs in all the right places. The jacket has that great under bust seam and the collar looks a fancy shape with the material looking a slightly different texture to the rest of the jacket. I think they would be reallly versatile pieces x

Sorry to confuse you. When I bought these things I knew I would be making decisions as time went on which items I really love and which ones are so-so. With the heat wave everything has been setting in the closet and as time goes on, being an emotional rather than rational shopper, I am weeding out the not so goodies. Does that make sense?
I didn't know at the time whether this would make it through the cut after I thought further on it, that is why I am deferring to you all. The whole bunch at one time was overwhelming to me, so I just took them all home to think on it.
Thanks.

Absolutely fab. I love that skirt and the high waist and buttons make it *so* special. And I think since you bought these items with Angie, you should have zero doubts! Keep!

You look fantastic- a keep to all of it. You look so sophisticated in the last outfit especially.

LOVE the skirt... the last outfit is darling. It's all great, in my humble opinion. Keep!

I agree with all, Love it! It's so different than anything else, and I think you could wear each piece seperately really well!

Just one thought though, when you do wear the whole suit together, I would stick to a simple blouse in a pop color. I think if you bring in any texture, sheen, or embellishment in the blouse too it might be too much.

Thanks ladies.
Angie and I both said to each other that shopping day that I should think about this one for awhile. Sleep on it so to speak, then post it to the forum for opinions.

I think the suit has some wonderful details (ruffles, high-waist skirt with buttons) and it fits you very well! However, something about the way the jacket poofs out a bit on the bottom doesn't sit well with me. How do the jacket and skirt look together?

Posted 3 months ago

I'll try to get a picture of both together soon. I'm not sure when I would wear the 2 pieces together. Maybe Angie can tell us something about suits and when and how to wear them. Actually maybe she has already told us and I should do a search on the subject.
Thanks

San I love the dress and the blouse - makes you look very hourglassy and is not at all blah. I agree that something about the jacket is not quite right and that if you did keep it, that a simpler blouse would be better with it

I would kill for that suit, personally. So I'm thinking my opinion on it is a little biased. :)

But it looks terrific on you, and each piece has so much character you will be able to wear the heck out of it!

Hmmm, I'm odd woman out on this one. My issue with the suit has to do with the jacket. I don't like what it is doing to your chest. The empire seam under the breast plus the larger collar contributes to a bit of a droopy look to me. Does that make sense?

Alecia, thanks for putting into words my reservations about the jacket

Posted 3 months ago

Happy to do it, anne. I also appreciate the validation. Sometimes I feel like my eye must be off when I'm the only one to see something. So glad I'm not crazy. :-)

Yooohooo! I have a memory like an elephant. This is not the size of jacket that Sandy purchased. We went up a size in the jacket – to a 4 I think, whereas the jacket in the picture is a 2. Sandy can you check the size of the jacket you have now?

The suit looks KILLER. (I saw it in real life). And now with Sandy’s new haircut, incredible bra and specs, it will look even better. However, this was a question mark because of lifestyle needs – that’s all. Does Sandy *really* need a suit? And we all have our budget limits! The jacket looks amazing paired with the new white shirt or burgundy blouse and jeans. The skirt looks fab paired with the biker jacket.

Anyway sweetpea, mull over that for a while and let me know if I can be of further help.

Yes Angie, your memory serves you well, the jacket I have at home is a size 4.
So I need to try this on again with the new size and take photos. Also I have a new bra since these pictures were taken.
Thanks.

Where is the blah? I see no blah!!!

Posted 3 months ago

That skirt gives you amazing curves! I don't think it's a blah suit at all ... and I can imagine someone like Kristen, who goes to an office every day, would get tons of use out of it. But what do you think -- will you wear it enough?

Posted 3 months ago

San - I love the skirt. I'm with Alecia and Anne on the jacket as another odd woman out. For the same reasons that Alecia pointed out. I'm hoping that with the different bra and jacket size - this will be a moot point.

Posted 3 months ago

Thanks also to Alecia for putting my reservations on the jacket in words! I definitely would like to see a new photo of the jacket.

As far as whether you want to keep the suit: Do you love it? I mean, really love it? If you kind of like it and think you could work with it, I would return it and spend the money on something that really speaks to you. It sounds like you still had a few reservations on the suit.

Posted 3 months ago

I think that the suit is definitely not blah, it is gorgeous and very flattering, the skirt in particular. Let's see the new photos. Maybe. if you are not sure, you keep the skirt and send the jacket back?
