Seeking cute lounge clothes

After an acquaintance dropped by unannounced this evening, I've decided I need much cuter sweats/lounge clothes. :-) I've not had much success on finding anything I think is appropriate (i.e., not "too young" - I'm in my mid-40's, so no writing across the bottom or anything). I also don't want anything to pricey. Any ideas?

Have you looked at yoga-inspired wear? It ranges from the pricey (lululemon) to the affordable (ProSpirit at Target). Yoga pants, which are flattering if they fit right, and yoga tops with prints can be comfy and stylish worn as loungewear. (And you can do yoga in them, too!)

I love the stuff at ATL. Laura65 picked out some finnnne sweater/tops that I have been wearing like crazy!

I second the suggestion for yoga wear. Everyone has them, but I did see some yoga pants in a variety of colors (navy, brown, dark grey, and black) at New York and Co for $20. They looked really comfy! Then add a simple basic longsleeve t in a fun color and you're set. Old navy had a selection of crew or v neck I think (although they are made of quite thin fabric) but you can get a cute zip up warm up jacket and you're set (and could even run to the store for a quart of ice cream if you had to!)

Here are a few of Angie's posts on the topic:

I personally have an assortment of black yoga pants that I pair with a cute top (depending on the season). Old Navy has cute (and cheap) embellished tank tops, graphic tees, and long sleeved tees that are not labeled as loungewear but I use them as so. I add a cute hoodie when it's especially chilly.

My favourite yoga pants are the C9 by Champion Fitted Boot Cut pants at Target. They are very flattering and comfortable. I wear these to the gym all the time, but they look so good that sometimes I wear them at home as 'lounge wear' as well.

Also - there's New York Laundry brand separates at Kohl's - reasonably priced.

Another vote for yoga pants. I typically do a capri yoga pant, a tee, and a fitted hoodie. I usually buy them at Old Navy.

I sometimes also do a track suit, but only if it's cute.
