Call me crazy, but I love this ribbon cardi:

Do you like the bright colors against the black, or maybe it's the shape of the cardi you like?

I'd say it's the combo of the brights and the black, and I like the black trim.

It does have beautiful colors. I think the small picture doesn't do it justice and it would be much better to see it on you.

I won't actually order it; since I own only a couple of cardis, more basic pieces are on my list first. I just wondered if I was "off" on this one.

I'd be afraid it might be overwhelming. You'd have to try it to see. It would definitely be a very unique piece. You're probably right to stick to more basics first then pick up something fun like that when you have a good basic wardrobe.
