Question about the coat in Angie's sale post

I'm still looking for a wool coat and was naturally intrigued to hear of an Angie-approved sale option:
http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....nVa3wKx_AA
But of course I h ave questions, since the web description was not exactly detailed. :)

1. What colours are oatmeal and tin? :)
2. Where does it fall on the model?
3. Could someone please describe the collar in more detail? I can't picture a wing collar at all.
4. Is it the kind of coat that could work if the belt were removed?
5. An overall description of the silhouette would also be very helpful if possible. Would it look ok on a big hourglass like myself?
6. Has anyone seen this coat irl, and if so could they tell me about the material?

Thanks so much, ladies.

Tin is grey and oatmeal is a dark beige collor starts about bust height at the point where the buttons would be then sweeps out and up so it ends up the width of the shoulders x

Oatmeal is a light tan, like the color of khakis. Tin is a very light grey. The coat has a big v-neck collar... hard to explain but it forms a V shape with two large panels that sit on the shoulders/chest. It has a low neckline for a coat and leaves the neck exposed. It sort of reminds me of an enlarged blazer/jacket collar. The model is wearing a turtleneck in the picture. The length is mid-thigh on the model.

It's a nice coat, but I almost feel like it's not warm enough because of the exposure at the collar. It's a very simple silhouette, with no visible buttons, just a belt tie. I'm not sure if the coat would work without the belt. I suppose it would, but it would be even more simple that way.

I have been tempted by this coat and have seen it in person but have not tried it on. The tin color is almost a silver grey and the oatmeal is a soft light tan, actually lighter than in the link. The fabric looks and feels soft and luxurious. Although the neckline is a deep V, it can easily be filled in with a cozy scarf for warmth.
Because one side of the coat wraps over the other side in front, it may not work too well without a belt, but I'm not sure. It probably could be worn open, but just closed with the "hidden snaps" my look odd without a belt.

Michelle If you took a pashmina and draped it across your shoulders, tying it in a knot at your breastbone you will have created a similar effect to the wing collar. The overall fit of the coat is very similar to a thigh length wrap dressing gown.

The coat is very beautiful and I could see you wearing the tin, which is a silver grey.

I hope this helps you to visualise the coat.

Thank you lasses for doing a great job of helping Michelle visualize the style.

Michelle, this coat would look beautiful on you in the grey (tin). It’s not long, but a great Autumn and Spring coat for your growing collection. You’ll find the silhouette extremely flattering.
