Question about Frye boots

I live in the Northwest and last night went to our county fair.

I saw a very stylish friend of mine and she was wearing her black Frye harness boots with jeans. (bootcut dark jeans I think)

I wanted some of my own! I am wondering if they are versatile and comfortable.

They seem so practical for here in the west although I only go to the fair and rodeo once a year!

Boots are a great addition to any wardrobe. When I wear boots inside pants, I usually wear a lower height boot. I also wear skirts with knee high boots. And boots worn outside of skinnies is also very fashionable. Unfortunately, the boot that will fit your bare leg is different than the boot that will fit over jeans. So, you can't find one boot that will work in every situation. But that's just more opportunity to go shoe shopping!

I have the brown Frye harness boots and I love them! I too, live in the Northwest, and think that they are so comfortable and good in the rain. I usually wear them with boot cut jeans. I'm not sure if they would look right with jeans tucked into them, but maybe someone else can answer that.

I have been thinking about harness boots, I had a pair a while back that were too small and gave me permanent corns on toes because the leather was so rough. I love the look, I don't think they would be smart casual. I also like engineer boots and wondered how others felt about either style boots.

I have been wondering what Angie has to say about cowboy boots (and I hope this fits with the harness boots topic). I have a gorgeous pair of dark brown Cole Haan cowboy boots from years ago and wonder if I can make them work again. How do you make them stylish?
