I really hope I'm not hogging the boards. I'm so excited to share my unexpected joy with you all. I never thoughtt at almost 43 I would be having a baby. I'm still shocked and in awe of what God and the universe has given to me. Sorry did not mean to be to preachy.

I just left the Dr's office my blood pressure is way down with a great range.

Baby Nugget had an ultrasound and heart monitor. She is a big baby but all good. The ultrasound tech. Said it was hard to fit all of her head in the picture. Lol.

Today was a good day. I'm on offical bedrest and the Dr wants to induce on the 2nd or 3rd of April. Can you believe it. Lol

Baby likes having a foot in the air. Lol

Go Baby Nugget! I just found this thread and am so happy for you. Sorry you need to stay in bed, but you're so right about the miracle of your little one. Thoughts and prayers winging your way!

Wonderful news! So happy your blood pressure is down and Nugget is doing so well. Please, no need to apologize here for anything. Love following you, relieved about your BP, praise is good, etc.

Great!!! Now just rest, relax, and enjoy some 'me' time for a week. Soon you'd be a mom 24x7 and I'm sure you'll love it! Can't wait to see baby Nugget!

Bed rest for me is not as bad as it sounds. Dr wanted me to be safer than sorry. No 2 hr driving to and from work everyday. That was my major stressor. I can be outside of bed as long as I listen to my body and take it easy.

I really have not been anywhere except for church on Sunday mornings. I'm so thankful and happy that I can enjoy the last bit of my pregancy journey to include preparing for baby nugget to come into the world peacefully.

I had 8 weeks of bedrest with my DS (now 11) and let's just say it was worth every long and boring minute of it

I am happy to know that things are going better ! On a side note, I am surprised to know that you are still working (in Italy it is mandatory to stop working 2 months before the delivery) but this is another topic. Now rest and enjoy Spring!

Hey family!.

Today Friday we took another trip to labor and delivery. I was in active labor with contractions. Oh that was a pain. Literally lol. Baby Nugget decided it was gonna be another test run. I think she thinks the hospital and Dr's office are her safe space.

She settled down and went to sleep. If i don't make it to induction day which is in a week April 2 she will or might be ready sooner. I have a full day on saturday. It's my last hoorah before baby comes. I hope I make it through.

I feel like chicken litte. The story is he kept crying the sky is falling the sky is falling. That's what i feel like when i go to labor and delivery.

Sisi- America does not have a Nation wide standard for health care. I'M NOT GOING TO COMPLAIN. I've taken a 3 week vacation and then after baby is born i will have 12 weeks of maternity leave. God forbid a c-section it will be 18 weeks. The company I work for has a great maternity leave policy. I will get full benefits and pay while out. My sister is a teacher for the public school system they are given 12 weeks but NO pay. So I'm going to be thankful.

Ledonna, thanks for all the updates. Keep 'em coming. This is so exciting. I can't wait to see Nugget. I had to laugh when you wrote Nugget thinks the hospital is her safe space. I reckon she just gets bored hanging around and wants to take a ride to the hospital every now and again. Enjoy this bit of down time between now and delivery. Feeling I'm on baby watch. And a friend's grandson is due 4/22. And they live .5 miles away, so I'm really looking forward to watching him grow up. I've know the dad to be since he was 2 or 3.

Alamost as the finish line. I had another Obgyn visit this afternoon. Blood Pressure is 110/70. Best most amazing reading ever. Dr was shocked. Nugget is healthy and happy with a strong heartbeat. Week 37 and 4 days.

I have another appointment on this friday and we will finalize the induction date either April 2nd or 3rd.

Hurray! I am so glad that your blood pressure is cooperating and that baby is doing well and is healthy. Although I try to keep up with this thread, you must post a new thread when baby arrives so no one misses the news! You and baby are in my thoughts.
