My heart goes out to you. I had a bad scare with my first (who is healthy and happy!) What helped me out was remembering that all the monitoring is a good thing--there is something to keep an eye on and they are keeping an eye on it. My very best wishes to you and baby. Hugs from Northern California.

Thinking of you and your baby, Ledonna. I can't believe your due date is so close!

Sending you lots of good vibes. Only a few more weeks to go!

Praying for you this evening and all future evenings until you deliver. Best wishes.

Thinking of you and sending best wishes!

You will be in my thoughts. The good news is that 35 weeks is a good ways along, so there would be little risk if the dr.s said induction was necessary. Whatever it takes to ensure a healthy mum and a healthy baby!

Sorry this is happening to you. Sending hugs, health, and happiness to you and sweet nugget. It sounds like you are getting good care.

Thank you everyone it is such a shock to the system to hear the word preeclampsia. Dr said to make sure i have my hospital bag in my car just in case.

They considere full term at 36 weeks. It's so funny i feel fine but everytime i go in my BP is higher. I hve to take test and give blood. Baby has a strong heartbeat and is doing well each time. Im ready but I'm but ready. Lol

Thank you for prayers and good vibes.

Have been praying for you. Glad baby seems to be doing well.

Deep breaths you can do this

Prayers for you and the baby!

Thinking of you.
hoping for a boring delivery.

Good luck to you! The last few weeks of pregnancy are so so tiresome.

Praying for you!

Hang in there and try to keep your stress down. I had preeclapsia with both of my children and they were fine. Granted they were both early but no major health issues.

Of course you and Nugget have my prayers. Virtual hugs too. And may I say, even belly up on a table, Ledonna, you take a great photo. That is definitely one of your super powers.

Praying for you and the baby. Do what the doctor tells you.

Anna that is the best statement ever. Hugs to you.

Elpgal this is so so true. Baby keeps banging on my tummy night and day now.

Kate you are to funny thank you.

Clara T. I will remember that. Stay ficused Ledonna lol

Thank you all for the positive vibes and prayers.

Oh good luck Ledonna. And what Anna said.

Prayers to you and baby to be healthy and happy. Did the Dr mention lying on your left side when resting/sleeping? I remember something about that from a long time ago when a friend had this.

Thank you Shevia

Texstyle that is correct. I've been laying sleeping on my left side for about 8 monts now. I think I have a bit if stress with my 2+ hr commute daily and am still working @ 35/36 weeks. I'm trying to hold off on maternity leave until after baby is born but may have to take it.

Just wanted to send my wishes, Ledonna, and let you know it'll be all right. I had preeclampsia with my son, and was on bedrest from week 34 until I was induced at week 37. It turned out to be a good thing I was induced, because H was born with a true knot in his umbilical cord, and would have been in increasing danger as the pregnancy went on.

Sending you lots of hugs and seconding what Anna said.

I am sorry I just saw this. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and sending you positive vibes.
That said, 35 weeks is pretty far along, and with the monitoring technologies available, I have every confidence that your nugget would be born healthy and happy, even if she were to be induced. No worries!

You're even closer to 36 weeks than when you first wrote this post! Every day is a step forward. Praying for you, for calm, for peace. Hang in there, little one. We're all with you, Ledonna. xxx

Thank you again for the words of wisdom. I have another 2 appointments this afternoon. So I'm hoping that. My BP went down. Baby has been rolling around and tomorrow friday will be 36 weeks. Technology and.care has been greatly advanced and for that I'm thankful.

Thankful for you that Nugget was able to stay in a few more days so far. Every day an amazing amount of development happens.

If you feel like doing any reading or cooking, some people recommend the Brewer diet to prevent preeclampsia. I think the theory is that you need protein to help the liver make albumin (similar to egg whites) and that helps the mother keep up with the blood volume to support baby and and herself and keep blood pressure safe. I vaguely remember some of this stuff from a birth class.

Speaking of boring deliveries... you know in all the tv shows how there is always a lot of frantic screaming? They made us watch the Swedish Couple live birth movie in school in one of the sex ed classes we had to take. It's so funny because everyone is practically asleep. The lady has her baby and then it's tea time! Sort of just sits up and eats a biscuit. And that's that. Zero drama. You're like, maybe she could complain the tea is cold? Lol. They never have episodes like that on Grey's Anatomy.

ETA: I can't remember if maybe everyone else has tea too. I feel like they all do, before they have to breakdown the lights and camera! Hahaha! The lack of excitement is astounding!

Rachy, that is funny. The only thing I wanted to do was to be left alone and sleep because I felt I had fulfilled my part. But alas, they keep coming to your room to take your temperature, coach you on nursing and so on and so forth. Much to be said for a home-birth despite all its cons.

I believe in prayers AND good vibes, so both are coming your way.
