Plus size denim moto jacket in the YLF store -- questions

When I saw the Lane Bryant denim moto jacket in the YLF store I was absolutely smitten and ran out to try it on. Sadly, I'm not sure if it works on me.

Thoughts
1) I am primarily a pants girl and I feel that the jacket is too short to wear with pants
2) I think this would look best over dresses, but currently my dress collection is seriously lacking and I can't invest in any more dresses at the moment
3) I'm not sure if the style looks good on me. I have no bust but the pockets seem odd?
4) Is it simply too short on me?
5) It runs small. The jacket I'm wearing in the picture is a size up from what I usually wear, but is it still too small?

The jacket is on hold for me because I'm still undecided. Should I pass on it?

Marianna, this type of jacket is meant to be worn open, not all done up. It looks just how it should in the last pic. It is supposed to be a cropped fit, so don't worry about it being too short. Short = cheeky!

(I still don't quite know what cheeky means, but I seem to know it when I see it)

Wow? I love that on you. Open, too. I have a cropped denim jacket (though not as "cheeky" ha as yours) and wear it with pants so long as I have a longer top underneath. It's a great look.
I also love your hair (is it lighter and shorter?) and eye makeup.

I hope you now have this jacket hanging in your wardrobe. Do you take a case every time you visit home Marianna, or do you have a separate wardrobe there? Just being nosey as usual.

Now that I’ve recovered from your sizzling style quotient I can make another comment.

You see! I am not alone in my thinking. This jacket looks sensational, Marianna. It took my breath away when I saw it in stores. Such attitude. Let’s see it over your dress and few skirts. It will look great with your checked pants too. Remember that you’ve got your longer leather moto jacket for when you want to sport a longer jacket look.

I think Michelle would do just fine in the size you have on. What do you think?

I also forgot to say that your new do is fabulous. Gorgeous!

A unanimous vote! I'm very happy. I am determined to find many outfits to wear it with! I'll post pictures when I put together some variations. I am picturing a polka dot pencil skirt with the denim jacket... of course, I don't own a polka dot skirt, but maybe I can get my hands on one.

Chris, Sarah and Angie -- thanks for the hair compliments. It's just a little shorter and cleaned up but I didn't do anything to the color this time. I wanted an inverted bob but it's not quite as short and styled in the back as I'd like it to be but it's not bad!

Julie -- I pack a suitcase (sometimes two) when I go home. I have loungewear, sleepwear and that sort of stuff in both places, but I do pack my main wardrobe. I don't travel with everything, just the pieces I like and wear most. My closet at home in California is still full of clothes that I wore as a teenager and are too small on me now. I've slowly been getting rid of that stuff but it's hard. I don't want to leave the closet empty.
