So many great looks! I really appreciated Ornella's EU-inspired version and the accompanying meditations. Also standing out for me were Firecracker's all-made-in-the-USA ensemble, Karie's lovely ladylike outfit with the great apple shirt, Jewell's perfect starry scarf, and Peacechick's girly-boho look. Oh, and the back of Tracina's t-shirt is hilarious!

This day of the challenge managed to get even a chronic dress-wearer like me into jeans. I don't have any white tops (literally at all), so I did a gray sweater instead. This is actually the first time I'm wearing this sweater, so maybe it can count as a "new jersey"? I added this red, white, and blue scarf because it seemed like the obvious choice, even though the pattern may be a little preppy for Bruce (and possibly for me). I also got a little more red in with my lipstick. For shoes, I wore my Frye moto boots because they're such a quintessentially American brand and style and to bring in the black leather and silver hardware of the belt on the cover.

Thanks, Bella, for organizing this!

Late addition here. I've loved seeing all the looks. I had a few ideas for this. First it was going to be totally literal and then I realized I don't have a decent white winter tee that I could wear to work. Idea 2 was to flip it and wear white jeans and chambray top, but the top has a stain on it. Here's attempt #3 (terrible photo) in which I chose the washed jeans, stripes (red white and blue), embellished belt and white topper. I realize the only thing Born in the USA here is me. All the clothes (Boden jacket, JCrew silk top, Guess blingy belt, H&M BF jeans and Ecco booties) were made in CHINA. Oy

Thanks to Bella for this amazing challenge only made better by the world collaboration and camaraderie.

Aubergine, New Jersey!!! That is hilarious!! Love your outfit.

And Jeanne, we should have trusted you to pull out all the preppy stops. Gorgeous on you!

I too thought this was going to be a way more homogeneous thread than the last ones. But wow!

Blown away by Firecracker's and Ornella's thoughtful interpretations and Tracina's cheeky one and Karie's oh-so-sweet-and-sharp version!

Jewell, what a lucky find!

Jj, I love your flip. Somehow I think this is much more 'you' than the other way around.

Astrid, prairie-style interpretation! Loving it. But goodness, I would probably don shearling in that kind of Xaver!

Carter, Joy and Bella, so elegantly American.

So many great outfits. All of you look so fresh in this american inspired color combination.

...and better late than never! I wanted to pair this belt with something for this one, so I wore it over this long sweater. Otherwise, this outfit is nearly exactly the same as the casual look Anna styled for me a while back, so this was fall-off-a-log easy for me!

Easy, maybe -- but drop dead gorgeous, too, Jeneva! Waving to a cranberry boot cousin.

Jenava, I agree with Suz, that look is so gorgeous on you!

Jjsloane, love your white jacket rather white tee. Classy and cool.

Aubergine, your "new jersey" is great with the scarf. You look just as fab in your jeans and moto boots as you do in your dresses.

Sara, your outfit is a nice, subtle homage, too, with the gray pullover and red plaid scarf.

Ornella, your EU version is great. What a fresh look, with the blue and white. I liked your thoughtful comments, too.

Jewell, another terrific outfit--the stars and stripes are so pretty on you, with those denim blues.

MaryK, both outfits are fab. I think you'll need to wear the work outfit soon.

Karie, too bad you didn't get to go out in your outfit today. Like Ornella, you had a lovely blue and white interpretation.

Amiable--you get extra points for doing Angie's formula and the challenge simultaneously. Nice outfit!

Peacechick, I like your boho version, a little feminine spin on the look!

Tracina and Lyn67, you get the cheeky awards! Both fun looks. Lyn, that denim skirt is very cute on you, too.

Joy, Carter, Manidipa, Suz, Diana--your white shirts and jeans looks are all great. Simple, chic, classic. Carter--what an awesome belt!

Bella, you look very cool in your boot-cuts, white button-down and red sweater. The belt is so, so fab. Thanks again for organizing the challenge!

Aubergine, we are the ony two who didn't have a white tee for this challenge! Maybe Jeanne wanted to be the third of us, but ' am sure she still has it in the wash pile, isn't it?:-)

Love all the red/blue/white color inspired outfits and musings about "giving birth" to them-each so personal! Loved Karie's on the dressing doll(hope you're better now) and Firecracker's/Jeanne original takings, too. Ornella and Peacechick have had not only fab outfits -but their insights were taking this thread from a level to a peek. Great day, yesterday!:-)

Lyn, I'm so glad I'm not alone in my lack of white tee! I think the closest I have is a layering camisole or two.

I also love Jjsloane's jacket and Jenava's boots!

Late entry--red, white and blue, times two!
