So I am coming down to Portland that weekend regardless; since I hadn't heard about definite plans here and the deadline for the other event was looming, I'm now going to be busy on Saturday the 22nd. I would love to see anyone on Sunday, if any of you are able to.

Both days work for me.

What about the rest of us?

I don't have any plans set yet, that I know of.

Sunday would work well for me too! Brunch downtown--maybe Urban Farmer in the Nines hotel--any other suggestions? If we can get a head count I can make a reservation (& alter as plans change).

P. S. my mom will be with me, if that's ok!

My daughter will be with me, Kari, so it will be multi-generational fun. Brunch sounds great. We may or may not stay to shop. Muffin, if you make reservations, we will be two.

The more the merrier!

Bente (Muffin)-1
Kari-2
Viva-2

That sounds lovely!

Maybe we should message Aida, Rabbit, and AZBeth to see if they can make it? They expressed interest earlier.

I can make it either day, would be just me

If another is welcome, I'm interested.

Yes, yes, yes! Sunday brunch at Urban Farmer.

So we have
Bente (Muffin)-1
Kari-2
Viva-2
Cerinda-1
Rabbit-1
Suzanne (ambergreen)-1

PM'ing Aida and AZBeth now.

I'm not sure what has happened to my fall but trying to get myself organized--so thank you Cerinda and everyone else do chiming in!

Do we have a group email going just o make sure everyone sees?

8 (so far) for brunch at Urban Farmer in the Nines Hotel Sunday October 23rd-preference of time anyone--10:30, 11:00? Please let me know if anyone thinks this is too early or late and I will book later today and let everyone know exact time.

I'm hoping the rain abates some-- 55 degrees and 60% chance of rain. I did have a chance to see the Warhol exhibit at the Art Museum and I really liked it (but I like Warhol). Lots of shopping to check out downtown too.

I'm not sure how long I'll have on Sunday. My daughter wants to go to a high school open house, will check with my husband's schedule too.

Really looking forward to meeting everyone!

That sounds perfect!

Thanks Kari- I'm going to make reservations later today or tomorrow just to see if anyone else responds. So looking forward to it!

I would probably take the train, unless someone else wants to ride down with me for the day. The earliest train would get me there at 11:05 a.m., and I would come back on the 4:02 p.m. train.

Count me in for brunch. Looks like I'll be driving down with DH! (He will occupy himself with Powell's and other pursuits.)

Thank you all for the preparations. I have been scarce on YLF but I am hoping to get back in the groove this week and I will be at brunch next weekend with Devon. I'm really looking forward to it! xxxx

Vivian

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Yay!! Very very excited!

Brunch on Sunday 10/23 at Urban Farmer in the Nines Hotel! I made the reservation for 10:30 hoping that given enough time for Firecracker to drive from Seattle. Most shops open at 11 and the Pearl & West End are both accessible by foot too. The Portland Art Museum is open 10-5 as well. The reservation is under Bente (soft A at the end) but I may just change it to YFL to make it easy .

Hi Bente (and all),
Just spoke to Devon and she is working Sunday morning so I will be solo.
Looking forward to seeing you all!
Vivian

Thanks for the update Viva. Sorry we won't get to meet your daughter!

If there is a Zara near Urban Farmer, I may need to speed there after brunch. I want to try on the embroidered fur jacket Angie highlighted this morning!

Oh, Viv, I want to try it too. But the closest Zara is in Seattle!

Oh, darn.

But, I just realized that I will be 10 minutes from a Zara when I finish work tonight. I will be exhausted but I think I can do it.

Okay, I know it's really late, it I am in Portland helping my daughter move in to her new place. I wasn't sure I could make it, because I have been exhausted! Can I squeeze in?

Theodora--absolutely!!! Please do come! I hope to get a head count today and adjust the reservation as needed. Just you or both you and your daughter?
