Opinions needed. Should I keep this?

Below are two items that still have their tags. Photo #1 is the tweed Halogen jacket to which I've added my own belt.
Photos #2/3 is the Nick & Zoe cardigan with removeable faux fur collar shown open and closed. I'm wondering about the length of this cardigan and the color on me. Should I keep it? I only want to keep it if it's a 10. Does it look too long for the skirt?
I may have to decide between #1 and #2/3, although they are different. If I have to make a choice, which should I keep?

I think if you can only keep one of them; I'd keep #1; it looks like a beautiful fit on you

I'm unsure about #2/3 - I thought it was a jacket at first, looking at the pictures;

The first jacket seems like a nice fit. I'm not sure that the second one may wash you out- how about with a deep jewel tone turtleneck and dark slacks?

Love them both! And the collar is removable on that sweater, right (so can be less glam and more practical)? I looked at it in the store and LOVED it.

If you have to make a choice, do you already have items like either one? Which fills more of a hole? They are both fab in different ways so it's hard to choose.

lpr200, I was concerned about whether the color washes me out or not. It was shown online with black but I've been wondering how else I could wear it.
Una, the collar is removable. I'm sorry not to have gotten any photos of it without the furriness, but it's a narrow shawl collar which I like. The second is more memorable than the first. There's not really a wardrobe hole but just a fab piece for the season. Should I keep looking?

I think without the furry collar it may wash you out, but the furry part is a really nice look with your hair, at least to me. Enough glam without being OTT for daywear.

I adore the fur-trimmed cardigan on you. The Halogen jacket is hard to see but it seems like you could get something similar any old time.

Joy I like both. If you can only keep one I guess the question is which do you think you will get the most wear out of? To my mind the jacket might be more versatile. The cardigan is quite stunning but I feel may have limits on what you can wear it with. Having said that, and having given it some more thought, I could see it over a skirt (as you have done in the photo), pants, skinny jeans, bootleg jeans, sheath dress.... hmmm I am no help I realize! I think the cardigan is a little more unique looking than the jacket.

The first one looks terrific. I wish I'd gotten that jacket! I'm not a fur person yet, so I'm going to pass judgment on that second one.

I like them both, but they're very different vibes. The first seems very classic, and the second is more fun. Do you want/need something basic or something that's more of a statement? I think I prefer the cardigan (especially with your hair!) even though I'm usually more of a jacket fan.

I agree with Janet that you should keep the one that you need/want most. In my opinion, they both look great. My vote is for the unique sweater.

So the nice thing about the cardi (pushing here!) is that if furry stuff wears out its welcome, you still have a great multi-tasking piece.

To my eye, these two options have such radically different vibes. The first one is tweedy, classic, ladylike...the second one is hip. modern, eye-catching. What impression do you want to give? Where would you be wearing these? If it were me, I would go with the long cardigan, as it seems way more fun and versatile than the tweed jacket. But it does raise some interesting questions about self-image and the fashion goals you are pursuing, which you alone can answer. Good luck!

I love both, so I guess I'm no help! The cardigan is definitely more of a statement piece (and is beautiful on you) while the jacket I could see being more of a wardrobe workhorse. Since they are so different, I vote keep both if you can. If you can't....well, that gets back to what do you need in your closet? Statement pieces or workhorses? The cardigan is so distinctive you might find yourself wanting to spread out how often you wear it, since it will certainly make an impact and be remembered (which is not a bad thing!!!). The jacket, while lovely, would probably blend into your wardrobe and outfits more easily. After all that...I'd vote to keep the cardigan if you can only keep one.

You have all helped me so much to think this thing out. I will keep both. I like the fit of the jacket and the fact that it is differently shaped from a blazer and that it adds inches visually to my chest. It also plays well with almost any color.
I wanted the cardigan to be a statement piece if it looks good enough on me. As to the image I want to project...I might call it French woman of a certain age or maybe Euro chic for the over 50. I asked myself if Anna Wintour would wear that cardigan ...yes? Would a well dressed French woman? ..not sure. (Comments and suggestions on this image struggle welcomed!)
Anyway I'll keep it and try to post more stying options from my closet. I'm thinking cream dress pants may work but have doubts about pants that are wider cut than straight legs working with the length of the cardi. I can only picture neutrals with it but will have to experiment with color.
