I love this! And those gorgeous fabrics just make me want to touch them.

Like RobinF I just want to touch those gorgeous fabrics. That outfit is a terrific take on neutrals and I love the bling-y glasses! I don't encounter this sort of fashion much in my daily life but when I do I always notice the fabrics. The lines and shapes are usually simple and the women are covered up, in keeping with their values, so their style focuses on fabrics, draping, and color combinations. I once walked near a woman in an airport with a simple outfit in taupe and black and it was only when I got close to her that I noticed the truly stunning fabric.

Thanks for posting this Angie!

Stunningly beautiful! Love the sheens and the color of the jacket!

Absolutely stunning, tfs Angie.

So beautiful, and it's interesting how the designer has westernized the hijab in many designs.

I liked this quote (oops, I cut part of it off, but you get the gist): "...the power of fashion. It's just one of the outlets in which we make a cultural shift in today's society to normalize hijab in America - to break down stereotypes and demystify misconceptions. Last nights' show was a huge leap in that direction."

It is great to see fashion shows finally practicing more inclusiveness and diversity. Uniqlo also has a collaboration line with the same focus:

Love hearing your enthusiasm, ladies.

Tanya, WOW. GREAT link.

It's high time that fashion week caught up with the rest of the world. Bravo to the designer for being a trailblazer AND for designing a gorgeous collection.

THANK YOU ANGIE FOR POSTING THIS! I'm in AWE, so wonderful (and meaningful, too)- like in my fantasies of the 1001 nights!

Beautiful and (for me) exotic looks, to be admired and appreciated as part of the rich mosaic of the world's fashions. It puts an extra shine on the glossy world of the runways, and shows us that fashion is for everyone, everywhere.
