New Season Jeans - are they PPL?

I have to admit, I'm a little thrown by the new season jeans lengths which appear to land on the ankle bone. They look good on the models wearing very high heels but what about us mortals wearing flats or mid height heels. PPL or not?

Yowza. I can see why you're thrown; I am too. They all look awkward and too short to me with the exception of the flared pair.

I do like the look on the models but can see even on them that the length shortens the long lean line. The skinny pants aren't as bad as the more boyfriend styles. In any case, I need to maximize long and lean so I don't think I'll be sporting it.

I think I read once that the reason pants often are short on the models is that they make one "prototype" for the photo shoots and they are in a regular length, thus too short for the super tall models. Us mortals should be able to find that those same pants will be long enough for us.

Remember that those models are very tall and aren't necessarily wearing the correct intended length. Here's why:

As long as the pants hit a little below the ankle and are very tapered like skinnies - no problem at all. Personally, I prefer a bit of ankle scrunch - probably because I wear flats. This post might help too:

Honestly, I think the grey pair look fine, though the rest are pretty bad. They're super skinny and scrunch is totally optional, like Angie says. I like a little, but I don't think it's bad not to have any at all, and even prefer that look sometimes/on some people.

The flares are the most offensive to me. They should have just put the model in a different pair of heels!

I will most likely be in the dog house with Ms. Angie. Today I went shopping with my son and bought a pair of these:

I couldn't buy the size I needed in the store (size 6, Tall) so I had to order. I'm going to give them a whirl and see how they work for me with heels and flats. I may not be posting pictures on YLF, though.
