New haircut!

Got a new haircut this week. I don't know what possessed me to go this short -- it was a complete impulse -- but I did and I love it!

Beautiful cut! I love the choppy layers. Kristen, out of curiosity, what products/tools are you using to style it and get that awesome chunky separation?

I agree with you - your glasses are awesome!

I love it. I noticed Jennifer Hudson on Oprah with this kind of longer layers choppy cut. I love it. You're hair seems to like it too. It looks awesome on you and your smile is beautiful!
Yes your glasses do look great with your hair and coloring and face shape. Good job!

Eee, great haircut, Kristen! I had a similar cut with choppy back layers, it was really fun. And you look like you're loving it :)

Aw, thanks all! I am loving how easy it is to take care of!

Kari, I have to admit most of the chunkiness look to it is a product of the multiple shades of color and the great cut. :) But I also use Pureology spray gel before I start drying it; I've found that it looks and works the best when I put it in while my hair is still pretty wet. Once it starts to dry it doesn't have the same effect. After I've styled it (which is more tousling and brushing it upwards than anything else) with the dryer, I rub a little pomade on my hands and comb my fingers through my hair and scrunch it a little.

But it's the timing of the gel that makes the difference between it looking like a chic cut to looking flat and matronly. I've learned this the hard way! LOL.
